The Young and the Restless has issued its first casting notice under the show's new head writer and executive producer.
Y&R is looking to cast the role of Tyler Douglas, who is described as "African American male. Late 20s to early 30s. Orphaned at 16. Worked his way through college and now has an MBA. He's driven to succeed. Smart, energetic. Well-read. Smoothly sexy and confident, with a witty, sometimes cynical sense of humor."
The role is contract. It should be noted that the name used in s casting call are not necessarily the name that a character will have when he or she debuts on-screen. Sometimes a name may change, of the show may deliberatly use an alternate name to prevent anyone from finding out what role they are really looking to fill.
