Matthew Cavenaugh joined the cast of As the World Turns in late 2006, taking over the role of the newly-returned Adam

The second-oldest of seven children, Matt grew up in Arkansas. After getting a degree in musical theater from Ithaca College, he went on to perform in the theater, including Broadway productions of "Urban Cowboy" and "Grey Gardens". He also appeared in the feature films Little Monsters and Sexual Dependency, and is known to daytime audiences for his role as Mark Solomon on One Life To Live.

Matt, who resides in New York, is involved with the charitable organizations Broadway Cares and City Harvest. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and being with his family.
