Matthew Atkinson is an actor and musician known for both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. He played Y&R's Austin Travers from 2014 to 2015 and joined B&B as a recast for the role of Thorne Forrester in 2019.
Born in Marietta, Georgia, Atkinson moved around with his family several times in Alabama and Mississippi before settling in Kennesaw, Georgia. After high school, the budding actor moved to Atlanta to enroll in college but later decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
His earliest television credits include guest-starring roles on One Tree Hill, Drop Dead Diva, and Fletcher Drive. But he went on to appear in more substantial roles on series like Jane By Design and Parenthood, as well as making a short appearance in the film The Blind Side.
