Caroline arrived back in town, hoping to get another chance at a family with Thomas and Douglas. Despite Thomas' assurances, Sally felt threatened. Caroline decided to stick around town, and Thomas asked Sally to get used to it. Sheila found Eric staying at her hotel but refused to tell Quinn where he was. Steffy and Liam tracked Eric's cell phone and found him in a hotel room with Sheila. Sheila and Steffy argued over who should be around Eric. When Sheila went to her purse, Liam yelled that she had a gun, and Steffy shot Sheila.

Sonny was arrested for Deimos' murder. Hope and Rafe enjoyed some time together. Rafe warned Dario not to expect Abigail to fall in love with him. Kayla helped Steve dig up some dirt on Angelica. Justin and Lucas reached common ground for Adrienne's sake. Kate, Kayla, Marlena, and Valerie enjoyed a fun night out. Nicole and Eric felt unsettled about what they had remembered about the night at the Martin house party. Nicole told Brady that she and Eric had kissed. Tripp felt that Jade was not being honest with him. Jade told Joey that she was leaving town and going to live with her mother. Kayla was suspended from the hospital. Kayla's talk with Tripp hit a nerve with him about his mother. Abigail was shocked to learn that Dario was involved in money laundering.

Scott received heartbreaking news that his father, Lee Baldwin, had passed away. Serena had been with her grandfather when he died, and she flew home to be with her parents. The WSB dropped all charges against Valentin to avoid the publicity of a trial. Alexis informed Valentin that she had filed a wrongful-death suit against him on behalf of Spencer. Valentin threatened to destroy Alexis' career and rip Nikolas apart in court if Alexis didn't drop the lawsuit, but Alexis stood her ground. Valentin started a non-profit racehorse rescue in Nina's name. Nina was touched by the gesture, but she remained determined to keep her distance from Valentin. Sonny took steps to make things right with Josslyn by arranging for the ban against Jax entering the country to be lifted. Carly and Bobbie enlisted Felicia's help to dig up dirt on Nelle. Nathan posed as Man Landers for a podcast as a favor to Amy because she needed the money to take care of her brother after his surgery. The producer of the show loved Nathan's segment and offered him a permanent spot. Sam's paranoia was fueled by an apparition of Sonny that taunted her about the danger he posed to Jason. Sam bought a gun to deal with Sonny. Ava was heartbroken when Avery looked away from her in fright.

Kevin said his final goodbyes to his loved ones in Genoa City and headed to Oregon with Chloe and Bella. Chloe confessed to Kevin that Victor had gotten her out of the mental facility and that she'd helped Victor frame Adam. Kevin promised to always protect Chloe. Cane told his family that he'd been fired. Juliet announced that the paternity test confirmed that Cane was the father of her baby. Juliet offered to raise the child alone, but Lily demanded that Cane take responsibility. Charlie and Mattie were devastated when Cane and Lily informed them that Cane had fathered Juliet's baby. The rift between Cane and Lily widened. Nikki kept her MS flare-up a secret from Victor. Victor requested that Hilary provide media coverage of the charity concert. Nick attempted to sabotage the equipment at the concert venue, but Noah saved the day by swapping in equipment from the Underground. Victor blamed Abby for the snafu but later praised her for remaining cool under pressure. Victor and Nikki shared a tender kiss before she took the stage. Despite being in tremendous pain, Nikki performed flawlessly at the concert. Victor discovered the truth about Nikki's health, and she thanked him for making her perform to prove to herself and her supporters that she could do it. Victor realized that Nick had been behind the technical issues at the concert and confronted his son in the parking garage.
