Steffy discovered Eric and Quinn's unsigned marriage license. Assuming that he had Eric's power of attorney, Ridge threw Quinn out of the house, the hospital, and Forrester. When Carter revealed to Ridge that Quinn really had the power of attorney, Ridge and Steffy convinced Carter to keep it a secret. Steffy moved back in with Wyatt, and Ivy urged Liam to move on. Wyatt overheard Ridge and Steffy convincing Carter to remain quiet about the real power of attorney, and Steffy implored her livid husband to go along with it for the sake of their marriage. Caroline returned to town with Douglas, and to Thomas' surprise, Caroline wanted to be a real family with him.

Aiden forced Hope to break up with Rafe, or else he would make her and her cohorts pay for Stefano's murder. Rafe warned Aiden that his plan would not work. Hope opened up to Jennifer. Steve tried to assure Kayla that Joey would be safe. Andre and Kate convinced Chad to take advantage of the problems at the Kiriakis camp. John, Marlena, Steve, and Kayla made plans to take down Orpheus. Andre questioned Aiden about how he'd convinced Hope to give him a second chance. Marlena asked Kate, Nicole, and Victor to help profile Clyde and Xander. John, Roman, Steve, J.J., and Paul planned to meet the convicts' demands. Paul and Sonny had a moment. John turned the tables on Orpheus. Theo's rash move bungled the capture of the convicts. Joey was rescued.

Several expressed concern about Alexis' drinking. Ned returned to Port Charles and rekindled things with Olivia. Jordan contemplated resigning, but Andre talked her out of it. Nathan assured Maxie that he intended to have another paternity test to confirm that Charlotte was his daughter. Griffin questioned Sonny's faith when Sonny tried to justify killing his enemies. Sonny ultimately decided to call off the hit on Julian. Paul was arrested and pleaded guilty to all charges. Ava was relieved when Paul agreed to keep her secret, but he refused to turn over the flash drive with her confession. Kiki shared a passionate kiss with Dillon and admitted that she wanted to be with him, not Morgan. Morgan jumped to the wrong conclusion at the boathouse and ended up at the Floating Rib, drowning his sorrows in alcohol. Drunk, hurt, and angry, Morgan stole Julian's car, but Jason managed to catch up with the car and convinced Morgan to pull over. Jason watched in horror as the car exploded just as Morgan stepped out of it.

Ashley and Travis got stuck in an elevator, and she realized that they'd met during his days on Wall Street. Victoria and Travis professed their love. Travis charmed everyone at Newman on his first day of work. Ashley confronted Travis about having an affair with his former boss's wife, Michelle. Victoria was livid when Travis confessed the affair to her. Cane and Billy were irritated when Hilary focused on Victoria during an interview about Brash & Sassy for GC Buzz. Billy and Travis bonded over a game of pool, but they ended up being jailed together after a fight with a bar patron. Abby admitted to Stitch that she'd stayed on her birth control, and she continued to have doubts about their marriage. Sharon let Dylan believe that Patty's calls were really from a stalker. Sharon visited Patty at Stonevale, and Patty threatened to tell the truth about Sully unless Sharon got her out of the facility. Patty sneaked the stolen phone to Sharon in a painting, and Mariah disposed of the phone in the park. Kevin and Dylan traced the phone, but they suspected that someone had wanted them to find it. Phyllis' attempts to work closely with Jack failed. Nikki worried that both Victor and Jack wanted to restart the war between them. Phyllis found evidence on Jack's computer that indicated that he was going after Victor.
