Eric and Quinn married each other with only a single guest, Ivy, in attendance. The next day, Eric confronted his family about not attending the wedding, and everyone was remorseful except the ringleaders, Ridge and Steffy. As Ridge and Eric argued, Eric collapsed. The Forresters rushed Eric to the hospital for treatment of hemorrhaging in his brain. Ridge and Steffy attempted to bar Quinn from the hospital room, but in a brief moment of consciousness, Eric asked for his wife. Carter accompanied Thomas and Pam to retrieve personal items to take to Eric at the hospital. While waiting for Thomas and Pam in the foyer of the mansion, Carter discovered the envelope containing Eric's power of attorney. Carter read the document and was shocked by its contents.

John rescued Kate, Marlena, and Claire from harm's way. Chloe told Nicole about her plan to fool Deimos. Kate told Philip and Chloe that she had not had time to alter the paternity test. A shocked Chloe learned that Deimos was not the father of her child. Philip demanded that Chloe tell him the name of the father of her child, but she refused. Abe and Theo took time to remember good times with Lexie. Jennifer told J.J. to move on with his life. Chad and Jennifer shared a special moment. J.J. and Gabi spent time with each other. Brady and Sonny's plan to surprise the prisoners did not go as planned. Orpheus, Clyde, and Xander put their plan in motion. Claire and Joey tried to escape from their captives. Clyde aimed at Aiden but shot Abe by mistake. Theo worried that Abe might not survive. Aiden told Hope he knew that she had murdered Stefano. Hope tried not to let Aiden's claim distract her from her job. John and Steve pursued Orpheus and Xander while the police searched for Clyde. Claire escaped, but the search continued to find Joey. Steve vowed revenge on the trio.

A DNA test confirmed that Nathan was the father of Claudette's daughter. Nathan demanded to see Charlotte, but Claudette was terrified that Valentin Cassadine would discover the child's whereabouts. Kevin flew to Geneva and managed to talk his way into the seat next to Laura as she headed home to Port Charles. Kevin apologized for hurting Laura and persuaded her to read the book he'd written, which he promised would never be published. Paul decided to kill Tracy when he realized that she'd overheard him confess to his deeply traumatized daughter that he had killed everyone who had hurt Susan. Anna returned to Port Charles and stumbled across evidence that pointed to Paul as the hospital killer. Anna and Dillon arrived at Paul's lodge just as he prepared to inject Tracy with derisifol. Sonny and Julian each took steps to strike before the enemy attacked. Sam was concerned about Alexis' drinking, prompting Alexis to agree to stop until Sam's baby was born. Franco turned to Heather for financial help, but she encouraged him to return to painting full-time. Hayden wanted to contact Jeff for money, but Elizabeth advised her sister to get a job because Jeff was a humanitarian who helped the underprivileged. Morgan discovered that a paper he'd bought and submitted for a class would be scanned for possible online cheating.

Phyllis insisted to Paul that her fall had been an accident. Summer invited Phyllis to live with her. A reporter accused Jack of abusing Phyllis, and he filmed Jack's response. Devon offered the reporter money to kill the story, but the reporter exposed Devon's bribery attempt on GC Buzz. Devon acquired GC Buzz, fired the reporter, and made Hilary the host of the tabloid's television show. Lily worried that Hilary would use her new position to settle her grudges. Phyllis threatened to take half of Jack's stake in Jabot unless he allowed her to have her job back. Phyllis returned to work, and Jack vowed to make her life miserable, starting with a dingy office and a mountain of paperwork. Travis turned down Victor's job offer at first, but he later accepted it. Travis assured Victoria that his new job wouldn't affect their relationship. Cane rejected a model's advances. Mariah shared with Dylan her suspicion that Chloe was hiding something. Chloe tried to clear the air with Mariah, who responded by quitting her job. Family and friends celebrated Faith's birthday. Faith told Chelsea about Sharon's plan to push Nick and Chelsea together. Nick told Sharon to stay out of his personal life. Nick and Chelsea separately prepared to have an awkward discussion about boundaries, but they realized that they were on the same page and remained friends. Sharon received a disturbing phone call from Patty.
