Sasha revealed to Nicole that they were sisters, and Nicole forced Julius to tell Vivienne. Devastated, Vivienne threw Julius out of the Forrester mansion. Bill tried to get Liam to open up about Quinn and was surprised that Liam had let Quinn go when she'd shown up at the cliff house. Deacon believed that Quinn's Adam fantasy would land her in prison, but Quinn found it significant that Liam hadn't turned her in to police. Ridge told Katie that he'd used a sperm donor. Katie led Caroline to believe Ridge had told her all about Douglas' paternity, causing Caroline to blurt out that Thomas was the father. Ridge revealed to Thomas that he knew about Thomas' night with Caroline, and Thomas gleaned that he was Douglas' father.

Adriana and Eduardo started to reconnect. The Hernandez family dined together for the first time in years, but the gathering was ruined when Dario lashed out at Eduardo. Steve learned that Joey had been arrested, and he later confronted Kayla about keeping the information from him. Joey had heart-to-heart talks with Kayla and Steve, who didn't realize the conversations were his way of saying goodbye to them. Jade angered Joey when she nearly revealed the truth about Ava's death to Ciara and Claire. Joey stole Steve's leather jacket before heading to Los Angeles with Jade. Abigail had to be sedated after an intense session with her therapist. Chad visited Abigail and was saddened to realize that she was still seeing things that weren't real. Hope reluctantly agreed to let Ciara move into a guesthouse on the DiMera property. Nicole received a tempting offer from Deimos. Kate learned that Nicole resembled someone from Deimos' past. Justin set a trap for Deimos. Victor and Maggie moved into a townhouse and invited Summer to join them there. After accidentally killing a man from her past, Summer enlisted Dario's help to cover her tracks. Theresa discovered that Summer was using an alias. Multiple residents of Salem began exhibiting signs of illness, including Paul and Arianna. Rafe prepared a romantic dinner for Hope, but it was cut short before they could consummate their relationship. Hope was horrified when she returned home after the date and found Aiden waiting for her.

Molly was surprised when she met Kristina's date because she had expected Aaron to be a woman. Sonny admitted that Aaron had made a good first impression. Alexis made a grisly discovery in the parking garage when she found Hale unconscious with a needle sticking out of his arm. Hale was rushed to the hospital but died of an overdose. Anna tried to force Julian to confess by accusing Alexis of murdering Hale, but preliminary tests ruled the death an accidental overdose. Alexis questioned Julian about his possible involvement in Hale's death, but Julian lied and assured Alexis that he was out of the mob. Carly obtained a list of the hospital staff who had worked on the day of Josslyn's kidney transplant. Jason and Sam caught Franco lurking in bushes and spying on them. Jason persuaded Elizabeth to pull Jake out of art therapy sessions with Franco. Nathan noticed that Griffin had a scar from a gunshot wound, but Griffin refused to discuss it. Sam gave Maxie an update on Claudette. Jordan and Andre made love. Paul arranged for Carlos to be transferred to another jail and provided Carlos with the means to escape. During the drive, Carlos managed to overpower Dante, but the van collided with Jason's motorcycle.

Adam listened to a voicemail Sage had left him before her car crash, saying that she'd needed to talk to him about Christian. After Nick lashed out at Sage's memorial service, Sharon grappled with whether to tell him that his son was alive, but she offered only words of comfort instead. Victor sent Meredith to speak to his family on his behalf, but the Newmans refused to listen to Meredith's advice to forgive Victor. Sage left Adam a letter in her will, and he found out that she'd known about Christian's true paternity. Adam destroyed the letter to honor Sage's request that Nick never find out the truth. Cane learned that Neil had kidnapped Hilary. Victoria began frequenting Hank's Bar and befriended the bartender, Travis. Luca had an investigator follow Victoria. Billy and Phyllis kissed again, but she pushed him away. Billy struck a deal with Jabot's biggest buyer. Jack realized that Billy had acquired Brash & Sassy to stick it not only to Victoria but also to Jack and Jabot. Jack and Phyllis clashed over her role in Billy's self-destructive behavior. Max overheard Lily talking about the police reviewing the Athletic Club's security tapes, and he convinced Charlie to swipe the master keycard for the hotel. A fire broke out in the club's security room, and Abby suspected that Max had set the fire. Stitch believed Max's pleas of innocence. Dylan uncovered forensic evidence that linked Max to the crime. Max ran away.
