Ivy insisted upon going to Australia after her fall. Liam fell in the plane's lavatory and knocked himself out as the plane took off. When he finally reached Steffy to say he was in Australia with Ivy, she clicked off the line without hearing further explanation. Steffy assumed Liam wanted to be with Ivy, and in Steffy's bedroom, Wyatt stated that he and Steffy might be meant to be together. Sasha vented to Julius about being the unacknowledged product of his affair with her mother. Nicole tried to control her reaction when Sasha took over for her as Zende's test model when Nicole had gotten sick.

Jennifer, Eric, Brady, and Daniel were in a serious car crash. Daniel did not survive and Maggie learned Daniel was an organ donor. Brady and Eric both needed heart transplants. Maggie had to decide who would receive Daniel's heart. John offered his own life so that both Brady and Eric could live. Based on his injuries, Brady received Daniel's heart. Eric could not bear the thought that he had caused Daniel's death and had injured many of his friends. Nicole and Maggie said their goodbyes to Daniel. Brady was overwhelmed when he learned about everything that had happed to him and his friends. Chad's tests confirmed that he was Thomas' father. Chad snapped out from under Andre's control. Chad told Abigail he still loved her and that they would be a family. Chad let Andre and Stefano think that he was still under their control. Philip was there for Belle when she needed him. Belle told Philip about the money Sami had stolen. Rafe grilled Andre. Hope and Stefano had a battle of words. Hope shot Stefano in a blinding rage.

Patrick and Robin announced that they were moving to Berkeley to start new jobs. Emma insisted that her parents get married before the move because Emma wanted friends and family to attend the wedding. Maxie helped Patrick and Robin throw together a quick wedding with Mac officiating the ceremony. After the wedding, Patrick, Robin, and Emma left for California. Elizabeth kept her distance from Jason when she saw him spending time with Sam, but unsettling events continued to occur at her house. Nikolas agreed not to press charges against Jason in exchange for Jason allowing Nikolas to keep Jason's voting shares of ELQ, but Jason refused to take the deal. Tracy threatened to expose Hayden's true identity if Hayden failed to hand over the reigns of ELQ within 30 days. Hayden suggested that she and Nikolas could safeguard his control of ELQ by getting married. Nina was horrified when her first edition of Crimson was printed with a green overlay, but she quickly decided to spin it to her advantage by claiming that it had been an intentional way to promote an eco-friendly environment. Jordan went on a second date with Andre. Kiki helped Morgan get back on track with his medications. Maxie caught Johnny hiding out on the Haunted Star.

Marisa covered up Noah's role in Billy's accident. Noah struggled with his guilt when he learned he'd been the driver who'd hit Billy. Marisa informed Luca that the Santori family had financed Marco's crimes. Luca tricked Marisa into revealing Noah's secret, and she threatened to leave Luca if he turned Noah in. Adam and Victor toasted to Adam's role of double agent to take Luca and the Santoris down. Sage became irate when she suspected Dr. Anderson was trying to interfere in Nick and Sage's marriage. Dr. Anderson attempted to plant seeds of doubt in Nick's mind about Sage's mental stability. Phyllis inadvertently tipped Victor off about Billy's potential investment in Kevin's idea. Victor approached Kevin about investing in the project, but Kevin was determined to wait for Billy to recover. Abby and Stitch cut their honeymoon short when they found out about Billy's accident. Jenna was killed in a car accident, and Max arrived in Genoa City to live with Abby and Stitch. Max blamed Abby for his mother's death, and he briefly ran away, but Stitch convinced the boy to give his new home a chance. Dr. Neville covertly obtained Billy's medical records and recommended his protocol to save Billy, but Billy's family opted to proceed with surgery. Billy suffered cardiac arrest during the surgery. Jill argued with Jack and Victoria about whether Billy would want to live in his condition. Billy's condition deteriorated.
