Lieutenant Baker questioned Steffy about Aly's death. Steffy thought she'd convinced Wyatt to delete Ivy's video; however, Ivy persuaded him back to her side, and the two consummated their relationship. Ivy led Liam to question Steffy about Aly' death, and Steffy revealed that Ivy was calling Steffy's self-defense "murder" and blackmailing Steffy with a video. After Liam saw the damning video, he vowed to protect Steffy. Thomas confided in Caroline about the blackmail problem and swore her to secrecy about it. Despite the baby issue, Caroline remained optimistic about her relationship with Ridge, and Ridge told Katie that he didn't want to start another family.

Eve planted a bug at Jennifer's house. Stefano asked Abigail if she would give Chad a second chance. Clyde squashed Ben's plan to leave Salem. Will and Paul were heartbroken when Sonny left town. Aiden and Clyde clashed. Clyde attacked Aiden and warned him to stay out of his business -- or else. Aiden lied to Hope about the attack. John noticed Rafe had feelings for Hope. Marlena was upset with John because he had not told her that he planned to go back to work for the ISA. John made things right with Marlena. Paige covered for J.J. with Kyle. Paige was confused about her feelings for J.J. Eve learned that J.J. was working undercover and decided to destroy his plan to nab Kyle.

Olivia returned to town without her baby to determine if Julian had truly turned over a new leaf. Julian was shocked when "Denise" confessed that she was really Ava. Ava begged Julian to steal the incriminating recording of her confessing to Connie's murder, but Julian insisted that he was out of the mob. Ava didn't believe Julian, and she promised to help him take down Sonny if Julian helped her reclaim her life. Nathan tracked down one of the men who had hijacked Sonny's shipments. The hijacker accused Julian of being the mastermind behind the thefts and the murder of one of the hijackers. Julian promised Alexis that he had been set up. Sonny and Carly set a wedding date, but their happiness was overshadowed by concern for Morgan because Carly suspected that Morgan might have bipolar disorder. Nina confided to Nathan that Silas had kidnapped Avery and that Silas' killer was still on the loose, but she refused to elaborate. Franco's trial kicked off, but Morgan became concerned when Scott managed to plant reasonable doubt as each witness for the prosecution testified. Desperate, Morgan pulled Ric aside to tell his uncle that Franco had threatened to kill Morgan on the day of Silas' murder. Ric called Morgan to testify, so Morgan perjured himself by painting Franco as a man on a homicidal mission. Franco accused Morgan of lying, but Kiki believed everything Morgan had said. Scott called "Denise" to the witness stand to confront her with a DNA test that proved she was Ava Jerome.

Neil interrupted Devon and Hilary's wedding, but he only wished them happiness, and the couple got married. Devon became ill during the honeymoon, and Hilary went on a hike without him. Neil confronted Hilary on the summit and showed her the incriminating footage of Devon with the hooker. The police treated Devon as a suspect when Hilary disappeared. Cane agreed to give his marriage to Lily another chance. Billy offered to resign if it meant he and Victoria could be together, but Victoria didn't trust the Abbotts. Victor agreed to give Jabot back to Jack if Jack kept quiet about Victor's association with Marco. Summer remembered seeing Harding at the cabin on the night of Austin's death. Marco lured Jack to Victor's office, but Harding intervened. Marco shot Harding in the arm to keep people from thinking they were working together. Marisa found Marco at the cabin, tied him to the bed, and summoned Jack. Jack resisted the urge to kill Marco and appealed to Victor to have Marco eliminated. Phyllis admonished and threatened Marco, but she refused to stoop to his level by hurting him. Dylan contemplated joining the police force. Dylan confronted Harding, who held him at gunpoint. Paul tried to talk Harding down, but Dylan lunged for Harding's gun, and a shot rang out.
