Hope declined to move in with Wyatt, but when he surprised her with a silver bullet trailer, she agreed to live with him in it during their surfing safari adventure. Liam wanted to talk Hope out of the trip; however, Quinn trapped him in a freight elevator, and Hope left with Wyatt. Quinn sought to befriend Pam, and when Charlie tried to tell Pam about Wyatt's misdeed, Quinn intervened to tell her side of it. As Ridge and Katie bonded more over their situations, Brooke grew anxious to move forward with her life. Brooke urged Ridge to put her engagement ring back on her finger and marry her.

What happened during the week of January 20, 2014

When they thought that they were going to die, Eric and Nicole confessed their love for each other. Daniel found Eric and Nicole just in time. Eric told Nicole that he needed time to think before he could make a commitment to her. On his way out of town, Brady bumped into Dr. Chyka at the airport, unaware that he was the person that had helped Kristen drug Eric. Brady felt guilty that he had not been there for Nicole and Eric because of his drinking. Theresa used Brady's drunken state to make points with Daniel. E.J. grilled Stefano and asked him where Dr. Chyka was hiding out. Abigail worried that Will knew that she had slept with E.J. Abigail asked E.J. if he had killed Nick. Sami decided to make a go of it with E.J. Julie asked Hope to help find Nick. E.J. could not stop Abigail from talking to Hope. Jordan and Rafe spent time with Lucas and Sheryl. J.J. convinced Bev to help him with Theresa. Hope was upset when she learned that Ciara had been harassing Chase, a new student at school. Hope and Aiden had an unpleasant meeting about their children. Kate, Sami, Will, and Sonny were worried about how Gabi would react when Hope questioned Gabi about Nick. Nick showed up at Arianna's christening, alive and well.

What happened during the week of January 20, 2014

Everyone was stunned when it was announced that Liesl Obrecht was the hospital's new chief of staff. The chairman of the board explained that Liesl had cut a deal with the World Security Bureau. Liesl contacted a mystery person to thank the person for securing the chief of staff position for her. Heather and her henchmen arrived at the boathouse as Luke tried to set Carly free. Heather decided to move Carly to the Wyndemere stables. Heather made up a story to explain her presence in the stables when Cam, Emma, and Spencer encountered Heather. Sonny and Duke set a trap that confirmed Sonny's suspicions that Morgan still worked for the Jeromes. Lucas learned that Julian was alive when Lucas had an encounter with his father. Lucas spent the night with Brad. Anna caught Duke in a lie. Scott and Lucy made love again. Mac confronted Scott when Felicia told Mac about Scott and Lucy's indiscretion. Franco turned to Kiki for help and explained that he had been framed. Kiki lied to Michael when he asked if Franco had contacted her. Elizabeth overheard Felix promise Sabrina that he wouldn't tell Patrick that Patrick was the father of Sabrina's baby. Sam met with Mr. Nakamura, the pharmacist who had filled the prescription for the antidepressant that Nathan accused Silas of using in an attempt to kill Silas' wife. Mr. Nakamura claimed that he had filled the prescription for Silas, so Nathan arrested Silas.

Summer woke up in the hospital, and Jack was upset when she referred to Nick as "Dad." Stitch identified the drugs in Summer's system as VivaSurge, a drug distributed by Bonaventure Industries. Victor reported Jabot to labor relations, while Jack, Kyle, and Hilary gathered information to prove that Victor's company had been responsible for the drugs. Noah accused Courtney of supplying Summer with pills. The tattooed woman locked Abby inside a vacant apartment. Tyler and Abby fought when he didn't believe her conclusion that Mariah had been behind the stunt. David Tutera agreed to help plan Leslie and Neil's wedding, and Leslie warmed up to the idea of getting married. Devon offered to finance a fundraiser for the Delia Project. Michael plotted to tell Womack that Carmine had turned state's evidence against Womack. Womack refused to make a deal with Michael and threatened Fen in prison. Fen agreed to confess to murder in exchange for an out-of-state prison transfer. Lauren received a mysterious bottle of perfume. Dylan and Avery traveled to Indiana in search of Ian Ward, but when it seemingly turned out to be a dead end, Dylan agreed to give up looking for his father. Dylan and Avery made love. Ian arrived in Genoa City and confronted Nikki about his son. Adam and Chelsea remarried and prepared to move to Paris, but he secretly planned to turn himself in for Delia's hit-and-run. Billy realized that Adam had been responsible for Delia's death.
