What happened during the week of December 23, 2013

Liam figured out that Quinn had been behind Steffy's visit, and he flew to Hawaii to explain things to Hope. Wyatt advised Hope to stop holding out for Liam, but Liam urged her to marry him right then. Bill found out that Ridge was back in town but told Katie that Ridge would be gone again once he realized that Brooke wasn't holding a torch for him. Brooke confessed to Ridge that she'd been the other woman in Katie's marriage, but she'd never imagined that Ridge would return to give their relationship another chance. During a meeting at Forrester, Rick made sure that Ridge understood that Rick was at the helm of Forrester Creations.

Sami came clean to E.J. about Nick. E.J. offered Sami his support to help her cover up Nick's death. Kate, Sonny, and Gabi panicked when they learned that Santa was the man that they had met in the woods. Stefano asked Kate to meet with him. Hope talked to Ciara about why Bo was not returning home for Christmas. Jordan sent an email to a mysterious person. Victor and Maggie found their way back to each other. Eric asked Father Matt to help him sort out his dream about Nicole. The Horton family gathered on Christmas to hang their ornaments on the tree. Anne tried to ruin the Horton reading of the Christmas story. Julie quizzed a nervous Gabi about Nick. Victor made things right with Eric. Brady tried to talk Maggie out of moving back into the mansion. Abigail was surprised when J.J. told her that he wanted their mom to get back together with Daniel. Rafe sent Jordan a surprise gift. A photo shoot reminded Nicole and Eric of when they first met. Brady lied to Daniel about J.J. to cover up his own drug buy. Theresa asked J.J. for a favor that had to do with Daniel. Sami had a terrifying experience in the woods. Will thought that Gabi and Sonny were hiding something from him. Brady lost control of himself during the interview with Nicole. Daniel arrived and accused Brady of being back on drugs.

Dante was certain that Sonny had confessed to accidentally shooting Max because Morgan had been the real shooter. Morgan suggested that Sonny had lost it, so he advised Dante to keep a close eye on their father. Morgan was relieved when Max began to slowly recover from the shooting. Ava took the opportunity to push A.J.'s buttons by accusing him of getting away with murder. A.J. succumbed to the temptation of alcohol after the encounter with Ava. Patrick broke things off with Sabrina because he realized that his heart had always belonged to Robin. Robin and Patrick spent Christmas together as a family with their daughter. Patrick confessed that he had never been happier. Carlos turned to Sabrina for help. Sabrina reluctantly agreed to hide Carlos in her apartment until he could figure things out. Felix questioned if Sabrina might be pregnant after she experienced a bout of nausea. Britt offered to help Dante and Lulu have another baby. Dante and Lulu unwittingly spent time with their son on Christmas when Nikolas stopped by for a visit with Britt and Ben in tow. Maxie decided to leave town for a few months, so she stopped by the loft to say goodbye to Lulu.

Leslie accepted Neil's marriage proposal. A tattooed woman broke into Abby and Tyler's hotel room. Devon confronted Mason about stealing Devon's identity. Michael and Lauren enlisted Summer's help to lure Fen to the police station. Fen was arrested for Carmine's murder, but he was allowed to go home with an ankle monitor. Courtney opened up to Noah about once being close with her older sister. Courtney met with Zach, who turned out to be Alex. Noah and Kyle vied for Victor's approval at Newman-Chancellor. Nick and Sharon bonded when they spent Christmas with Faith. The citizens of Genoa City gathered for a candle-lighting ceremony in Chancellor Park in memory of Katherine. Kevin was concerned when he found Connor's outfit in Chloe's purse. Chloe agreed to be Connor's godmother. Jill was peeved to find her discarded music box under the Christmas tree, and Chloe later admitted to placing it there to prevent Jill from having regrets. Chelsea received her final divorce papers from Dylan, and she and Adam happily made plans for the future. Victor discovered his investigator's report, which implicated Adam in Delia's accident. Billy's interest was piqued by the similarity between an anonymous online post and Adam's remark about balancing the karmic scales. Billy tried to put on a brave front over the holidays with his family. Kelly and Billy comforted one another, and they shared a kiss.
