Rick and Caroline got engaged, and when Maya learned about it, she wished them well instead of telling Rick her true feelings. Hope felt that she couldn't trust her relationship with Liam, and she returned his ring. Liam became determined to prove that Wyatt had sent Hope the video, but his undercover investigation revealed that it had really been Quinn. Katie refused to allow Will to spend the night in the same house where his father slept with his aunt, and as she and Bill bickered about it, she discovered that Brooke and Bill were going mountain climbing. Katie had a bad feeling about it and implored Bill not to go.

What happened during the week of October 21, 2013

Jennifer asked Hope to arrest J.J. as the means to keep him out of prison. Jordan caught Kate checking up on her. Will made plans for his trip to California. Nick continued to plan a future for him and Gabi. Eric overheard Nicole tell Brady that she loved Eric, and Eric assumed that Nicole was the woman he had been with that night at the hotel. Nicole, shocked by Eric's accusations, desperately tried to convince him that she had not drugged or had sex with him. Brady told Kristen what Nicole had been saying about her. Theresa went after Daniel, but she did not get the results that she had wanted. Stefano made Daniel an offer to take care of Theresa, but Daniel refused. Both high, Theresa and J.J. had sex, but then things quickly went downhill for J.J. To protect J.J. from going to prison, Daniel lied to Jennifer about why he had been at Theresa's apartment when she overdosed. Jennifer was shocked and hurt that the rumors about Daniel and Theresa might be true. Kayla told E.J. that Chad needed more surgery. Chad confessed to Abigail about his health fraud. Lucas told Sami that he did not want Allie to continue to live at the DiMera mansion. E.J. assured Sami that things would work out. Will told Sami the good news about his trip to California.

Sabrina accepted Patrick's proposal of marriage. Jerry sent Liesl Obrecht and Faison to Port Charles with Robin so Robin could get what she needed from Luke to formulate a cure for Jerry. However, Jerry warned Robin not to let anyone know that she was alive until Jerry had the life-saving serum. Jerry held Anna and Robert hostage and threatened to kill them if Robin failed to comply. Britt confessed to Faison that Ben was not her biological child. Faison told Nikolas about Britt's secret, but she claimed that she had lied to her father. A DNA test confirmed that Lucas Jones and Sam had the same father, Julian Jerome. Sam talked to Lucy about Victor and learned that Victor might have had a daughter with one of his mistresses. Morgan confronted Ava and Julian when he overheard the siblings discuss their relationship and plans for Sonny. Morgan threatened to tell Sonny and stormed out of the office, so Julian ordered Carlos to kill Morgan. Morgan felt betrayed when he learned that Sonny had hired Michael to run Pozzulo's, so Morgan offered to work for Julian. Diane realized that Franco's works of art were not his creations. Franco assured her that the real artist would not object to him selling the paintings as his own. Scott and Lucy had an encounter with Heather outside of Kelly's.

Adam was tortured with guilt over Delia's death. Adam obtained corneas on the black market, but the doctor determined that they weren't viable. Billy and Chloe learned that Connor would go blind without a transplant, and they decided to donate Delia's corneas to Connor. Adam burned the piece of Delia's costume in his fireplace. Chloe realized that Delia's scarf was missing. Devon offered one million dollars for information that would lead to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver, and the police were bombarded with leads. Nikki's vehicle was caught on a security tape, but Paul ruled her out as a suspect. Billy rejected support from family and friends, and he threatened to find the driver himself. The Abbotts rallied to help Billy, and Ashley returned to town. Nick had a heart-to-heart talk with Billy about losing a child. Nikki hired Avery to change her will, and she revealed to Avery that Dylan was Nikki's son. Dylan received a notice of termination of his parental rights concerning Connor. The judge sentenced Michael to ten years in prison for killing Carmine, but Fen burst in and confessed to the crime. Paul and Christine were skeptical about both Michael and Fen's stories. Paul received a solid lead in the hit-and-run.
