Quick Catch-Up for the Week of May 6, 2013

Celia overheard a conversation between Pete and his friend that misled her about Pete's intentions. Pete managed to smooth things over with Celia and to persuade her to give him a second chance. Cassandra was kidnapped by a sex ring that was operated by the Russian mob. Cassandra's captor fed her some addictive pills to make her more compliant then later ordered her to earn her keep. Angie learned that Jesse had sent Cassandra a plane ticket to return home. Jesse was forced to admit to Angie that he didn't know where Cassandra was. Dixie pleaded with Adam to forgive JR because their son needed them. AJ ran into David during a visit with JR in the hospital. Dixie feared that David would try to worm his way into AJ's life. Dixie's prayers were answered when JR opened his eyes and called out to her. AJ was suspended from school for hitting a fellow student who had made inappropriate remarks about Miranda. AJ planned a special evening for Miranda to cheer her up. David overheard Cara tell Griffin that David could never find out about what had really happened to the baby. David accused Cara of aborting his child.

Brooke couldn't believe it when Dr. Caspary confirmed that Brooke was pregnant. Brooke confided in Donna about it and toiled over whether to tell Bill. Caroline poured her heart out to Rick about her feelings for him and her fear that she was losing him to Maya. Rick told Maya that he wanted to be with her, but Bill threatened to expose Maya's past if she didn't stay away from his niece's boyfriend. Steffy and Hope made an uneasy peace with each other at Thomas' beach house. Steffy decided to take her motorcycle home to skirt around a traffic jam, and she swerved and slammed on her brakes when a car jutted out in front of her.

Kristen taunted Eric about Marlena and John's past indiscretions. Kristen was overwhelmed when Brady offered to adopt a child with her. Touched by his kindness and love for her, Kristen went to the secret room at the DiMera mansion to think. John followed Kristen to the secret room, where they talked about the happier times in their past. Brady nearly caught John and Kristen in the secret room together. Sami failed to convince Stefano's associate to give her the evidence against Will that he had stolen from the police station. Jennifer and Abigail were surprised to see J.J. back in Salem. Jennifer was furious when she learned J.J. had been expelled from school for dealing drugs. J.J. told Jennifer that he could explain his side of the story and hoped that she would believe him. E.J. and Justin continued their plan to take down Stefano. Rafe told Nick he knew Nick had forced Will to give up his parental rights because Will was gay. Rafe threatened Nick and said that he planned to tell Gabi about what Nick had done to Will. Nick attacked Sami and forced her to return the $30,000 that she had stolen from him. Nicole continued to fight her feelings for Eric. Someone attacked Rafe on his way to meet E.J.

Luke and Laura decided that it was time for them to go their separate ways. Scott was delighted when Laura offered to set a wedding date. Elizabeth agreed to go to New York City with A.J. for an overnight trip to promote Pickle-Lila on a national television show. Elizabeth was furious when she realized that Nikolas and Tracy intended to ambush A.J. on television. Elizabeth told Nikolas that if he loved her then he would leave A.J. alone. Tracy severed her partnership with Nikolas when he informed her that neither of them would appear on the cooking talk show with A.J. Tracy received divine intervention to escape from Nikolas' guards. Lulu had several flashbacks of her life before the abduction. Ellie told Spinelli about Maxie's miscarriage, but then claimed that Maxie had been impregnated again with one of Dante and Lulu's other frozen embryos. Luke tracked down Ava Jerome, the mother of Franco's daughter. Luke was unaware that Ava was hiding Morgan in her home while the teen figured out how to deal with his gambling debt. Ava persuaded Morgan to contact his family, so he called Michael. Morgan's situation turned dire when two thugs found him. Molly told T.J. to find another prom date when she learned that T.J. had given Rafe a black eye.

Dorian resigned as junior senator then took steps to put an elaborate plan into motion. Viki was desperate to save the Banner from bankruptcy, so she decided to invest in a company that Clint had recommended, unaware that Dorian had lied to Clint's financial advisor about the company. Victor spiked a decanter of alcohol in Todd's hotel room. Todd suffered flu-like symptoms after consuming the tainted alcohol. Todd suggested that he and Victor call a truce for the sake of the children, so Victor agreed. Todd tried to repair his damaged relationships with loved ones. Dani decided to move in with Matthew and Jeffrey when she found it too difficult to live at home with her mother and Victor. Matthew began chatting with a woman that he had met online through Jeffrey. Natalie and Destiny talked about the difficulties of being single mothers. Clint urged Matthew to make peace with the past and to be a father to Drew. Matthew promised Clint that he would try. Bo and Nora took advantage of their empty nest. An acquaintance from Cutter's past showed up looking for money.

Adam suggested to Victor that they turn Newman Enterprises back into a private company. Victor wanted his other children to use the money they'd won in their settlement to buy back Newman shares. Victoria plotted to take over the company and throw Adam out, but Nick and Abby wanted nothing to do with the corporate battles. Adam obtained the funding to enable him and Victor to reclaim the company. Victoria hired a private investigator to dig up the bombshell that Adam had intended to reveal at Victor and Nikki's wedding. Chelsea planned to tell Dylan the truth about her baby's paternity, but she chickened out after she learned that Dylan had mourned the loss of his baby with Avery. Dylan and Chelsea bonded over his sketch of a baby cradle, and they shared a kiss. Avery returned Dylan's dog tags. After some harsh words from Dylan, Nick reunited with Avery. While trying to explain his connection with Rose to Leslie, Gus died from another heart attack. A mysterious blogger posted excerpts about Leslie from Neil's private diary. Tyler ignored Lily's calls. Traci's arrival interrupted Jack's plans for a surprise romantic dinner for Phyllis. Traci objected to Jack and Phyllis' relationship, and Jack ordered Traci to move out, but Phyllis insisted that Traci stay. Summer suggested that she and Kyle pretend to date to discourage Fen's possessive behavior toward her. Paul demanded that Lauren tell Michael about her affair. Michael put the pieces together himself, and he confronted Lauren about sleeping with Carmine.

Noah took charge of Cassie and Richard's escape from San Cristobel. Marah's 18th birthday ended in confusion; she was arrested for underage drinking, and Noah found Josh and Reva in a compromising situation. Harley's "bug" at the Bauer house produced enough evidence for Agent Aitoro to warrant an investigation into Carmen's death and do DNA tests on her ashes. Danny and the Bauers blasted Harley for choosing her job over their friendship. Harley told Rick that she was pregnant. Edmund was proclaimed Prince of San Cristobel, and then proposed to Beth; she accepted. In the confusion and struggle to escape from San Cristobel, Richard thought he had killed Edmund, and Cassie was mistakenly left behind and captured. Edmund hid his ruthlessness from Beth. Lillian and Phillip were shocked at Beth's decision to marry Edmund as well as her cold, calculating behavior toward anyone in conflict with her or Edmund. Beth decided to keep the children in San Cristobel permanently. Richard, Noah, and the others prepared to find Cassie.
