What happened during the week of January 21, 2013

Maya, a wrongfully convicted ex-con showed up at the café, desperate for Dayzee's help in getting Maya's daughter back. Dayzee was in a quandary because she wanted to forget the past and embrace her new life as a Forrester. Unhappy with the outcome of the Forrester fashion contest, Thomas decided that he'd go to Paris instead of being unappreciated at home. Taylor blasted Eric and a portrait of Stephanie over how Eric and Stephanie's choices had affected Taylor's children. Taylor accused Stephanie of being more like Brooke than they knew, and Stephanie's painting popped off the wall as if it were possessed. Taylor also ordered Brooke to do something about Hope, and Taylor refused to lose to the Logans anymore. Brooke said that was a cop-out, and everyone needed to get along, as Stephanie had wanted. Taylor revealed her bitterness over Stephanie's choice to die with Brooke at her side. Brooke's romantic evening for Katie and Bill went bust when Bill tried to sneak a shot of scotch. Katie walked out on Bill. The couple made up at home, but Bill seemed preoccupied as Katie made love to him.

Rafe accused Sami and E.J. of manipulating Gabi and Will. E.J. offered to help Will fight for custody of his child. Nick asked Justin for legal advice on how to win custody of Will's child. Nick pressured Will to give up the legal rights to his baby, but the plan backfired. Will was elated to see the first sonogram of his daughter. Sonny couldn't forgive Will for lying to him. Adrienne and Sami had words over their sons. Lucas and Sami argued over her erratic love life, but they put their personal feelings aside and agreed to support Will as his parents. Chad apologized again to Cameron, who seemed more receptive the second time around. Eric forced Brady and Kristen to resign from the church board. Eric told Brady that his actions were causing a rift in John and Marlena's marriage, but Brady didn't seem to care. John and Marlena shared an emotional goodbye, while Kristen enjoyed the moment. Chloe played on Jennifer's good heart and made Jennifer feel guilty about her relationship with Daniel. Later, Chloe asked Daniel if she and Parker could move in with him.

What happened during the week of January 21, 2013

Lucy was sent to Ferncliff for a psychiatric evaluation when she attacked John during her arraignment. Lucy inspired Todd, so he claimed that he suffered from posttraumatic stress disorder and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Diane made a convincing argument to the judge, so the judge remanded Todd to Ferncliff for evaluation. Todd was confident that he would only have to spend a short time at the institution for the criminally insane. A.J. confided to Michael that Skye had revealed some damaging information about Tracy that could tip the balance of power in A.J.'s favor, but they needed Johnny's help. Michael visited Johnny, who agreed to give Michael proof that Tracy had bailed ELQ out of financial trouble with mob money. Tracy tried to enlist Sonny's help to take A.J. down, but Sonny refused to risk losing Michael. Kristina wielded a bat when she confronted Connie about Trey's death. Luke returned to Port Charles and made it clear to Anna and Duke that he intended to win Anna back. Maxie realized that she was carrying Spinelli's baby but decided to keep the information to herself. Ellie was overjoyed when she wiggled her toes, but her happiness turned to feeling betrayed when Spinelli confessed that he had slept with Maxie on New Year's Eve. Ellie broke off her relationship with Spinelli. Elizabeth revealed to Patrick that Britt didn't treat the nurses well, especially Sabrina. Britt tried to win over Emma, but Emma made it clear that she didn't like Britt. Britt admitted that she didn't like Emma either. Patrick was horrified when Emma disappeared from Kelly's during Britt's watch.

Adam chose to stay at Newman Enterprises rather than go to Paris with Chelsea. Chelsea decided to get everything she could in their divorce settlement to fund her new fashion design company. Adam asked Sharon to stand by his side at Newman, and Sharon had a romantic fantasy about him. Adam held a secret board meeting. The board appointed Adam sole CEO and ousted Billy from the company. Nick prepared for the reopening of the Underground, but he was disappointed that Avery had to go out of town for work. Marcus and Jack agreed not to go public with Jack's involvement in Stephanie's death. Michael decided not to press charges against Jack. Phyllis and Jack kissed, but she hesitated to become involved. Jack stepped down at Newman and returned to Jabot, but he asked Neil to stay and run a new fashion division. Leslie revealed that her mother had passed away, but she remained tight-lipped when Neil asked about the rest of her family. Tyler covered after he accidentally gave Lily conflicting details about his childhood. Devon contemplated Tucker's job offer. Cane was dismayed when Lily's work obligations interfered with their plans. Chloe suggested that Chelsea have revenge sex with Cane. Jamie briefly woke up and said Fen's name. Lauren and Michael found the photo Fen had taken of Jamie. Christine resolved to pursue a civil suit against Phyllis. Noah told Alex the truth about the money. Victor vowed to take down Adam, and Nikki worried that Victor's obsession with Newman Enterprises would ruin their lives together. Victor instructed Mason to get details about Sharon's medication.
