Stefano reached out to E.J., but E.J. refused to let his father back into his life. Stefano located Kristen somewhere out of the country and asked her to make peace in the family. Kate advised Lucas about how to make things right with Will and Sonny's relationship. Nicole came close to telling Rafe and Daniel that her baby had died. Daniel told Jennifer that he planned to resign from the hospital and leave Salem. Jennifer seemed determined to save Daniel's career and keep him away from Nicole. Victor and Maggie pressured Daniel to tell them why he planned to leave Salem so abruptly. Victor warned Daniel that Nicole would ruin his life, but Daniel refused to change his mind. Nicole begged Daniel to leave town with her to move to Utah immediately, but she never told him the reason that she was in such a rush was that she had lost her baby. Nicole purposely bumped into Jennifer in Horton Square, and the two women had another terrible fight. Jennifer tried to get away from Nicole, but Nicole fell down the stairs and went into labor. Billie and Brady told the police that Jennifer had pushed Nicole down the stairs. Cameron told Nicole that her baby was stillborn, unaware that the baby had died before the fall. Nicole told a stunned Daniel that Jennifer had pushed her down the stairs and killed her baby. Maggie, Victor, Billie, and Brady were shocked at Jennifer's actions. Roman told Jennifer that she was under arrest for the murder of Nicole's unborn child. Abigail was confused about why Melanie had left town, and Chad, Gabi, and Nick refused to tell her the truth about what had happened. Bo told Hope about his plans to sail around the world. Later, Bo put his plans on hold due to his concern about Caroline's medical problems and urged her to see a doctor. Marlena and John walked in on Sami and Rafe's date and were delighted that the two had reconciled.

Téa turned up on Todd's doorstep, begging him to help her find her son. Todd took Téa to the motel where Heather was hiding out, but John and Anna were the ones who greeted them. John started to tell Téa that the baby was really Sam's son, but Anna received an update about Heather. Heather had gone to the hospital with the baby to get medicine to treat the baby's blood disorder. Olivia encountered Heather in the stairwell, so Heather pushed Olivia down a flight of stairs. Olivia regained consciousness in time to tell Jason and Sam that Heather had attacked her, so Jason and Sam raced to the hospital's rooftop where Heather had taken the baby. Jason and Sam pleaded with Heather to give the baby to them, but Heather refused. Heather realized that there was no way out when the police surrounded the hospital. Jason and Sam were horrified when Heather jumped off of the rooftop with the baby in her arms.

Tabitha agreed and cast the spell without specifying the high cost Kay would have to pay -- the "boys in the basement" wanted Kay's love for Fox and his for her. Chris contacted the FBI to find Luis, and instead they delivered the news that Luis had been killed in a Moroccan bar fight. The casket arrived at the airport, and Sheridan gasped when it was opened. The FBI took Chris and James back into deep cover witness protection, and they'd never be able to contact Sheridan. Because Eve's case was dismissed, the D.A. moved to arrest Liz, but Eve wouldn't sign the complaint, and they were unsure that they had the evidence to pursue it on their own. Sam interrogated Jessica, Simone, and Paloma and they stayed strong in denying that Jessica had had anything to do with the murdered john. Ethan confronted Theresa after he'd overheard her sounding like she had enjoyed making love with Alistair and he thought she was the gold-digger Gwen had told him she was. She told her sob story about not being able to take little Ethan away with her and Ethan told her he'd still try to help her. Alistair played musical playmates, bouncing from Theresa to Rebecca and back. Gwen told Alistair not to get in the way of her marriage to Ethan, and then when she found Ethan comforting Theresa after she had found out about Luis' death, asked for a divorce. This declaration was interrupted by the sound of Martin shooting Alistair. Everyone ran to the scene and discussed the implications of Alistair's death, only to find that the gun Alistair had given Martin to shoot him was loaded with a blank. Alistair relished finding out how they had all reacted in the moment.
