Lucas seemed amused watching E.J. and Rafe fight for Sami's affections. Rafe and Sami discussed her life choices. Daniel told Nicole that they have to be only friends, and nothing more. Jennifer confronted Daniel and told him that she knew that he had switched Nicole's paternity test. Jennifer warned Daniel that E.J. was out to get him and destroy his medical career. Jennifer was onto Nicole and was determined to protect Daniel from her. Nicole manipulated Abigail into helping her to keep Jennifer at bay. Daniel and Melanie had words about her upcoming wedding. Gabi and Nick struck up a friendship, which made Chad angry enough to threaten Nick. Caroline warned Chad about causing problems at the pub. Rafe met up with Gabi and was surprised when she told him that he was the happiest when he was married to Sami. Sami and Rafe agreed to have dinner together to talk about the status of their relationship. Victor and Brady told Maggie that they were upset at the news of Melanie and Chad's sudden wedding plans. Later, Maggie apologized to Melanie for her doubts about the wedding and agreed to help plan the festivities. Nicole had a bad dream about E.J. taking her child away from her and devised a plan that would prove that she and Rafe had had sex and that he had fathered her child. Melanie and Nick made peace and agreed to get on with their lives, but Chad misunderstood what had happened and beat Nick to a pulp. Will cancelled his date with Sonny after Will overheard Adrienne tell Justin that Will was not good enough to date Sonny. Marlena tried to help Will with his love life. Adrienne apologized to Sonny for meddling in his life, and Sonny rushed off to explain things to Will and get their relationship back on track. Bo told Hope that he wanted to explore a new career. Hope encouraged Bo to pursue his dreams.
Sonny realized that Trey was Joe's son. Kate recognized the pendant that Trey was wearing, so Trey confirmed that Joe was his father. Connie emerged as Kate realized that Trey was her son. Trey was stunned when Connie revealed that he was her son and then cruelly informed him that she wished that he had died, because he had been the product of rape. Trey confronted his father about "Kate's" claims, so Joe denied raping Kate and accused her of being a "heartless bitch" who had abandoned her son because Trey hadn't fit into her ambitious plans. Trey and Kristina made love and decided not to annul their marriage. Jason and Spinelli realized that Heather had had the opportunity to switch Sam's baby with a dead one. Jason shared his suspicions about Heather with Steve, so Steve told him about the events surrounding the birth of Téa's son. Jason realized that Téa might have Sam's son, so he reached out to John for help. John arrived in Llanview as Heather prepared to leave town with the baby. Sam signed the divorce papers ending her marriage to Jason, because she believed that Jason had moved on with Elizabeth. Jason and Sam bumped into each other at the Chinese restaurant where they had exchanged wedding vows on the one-year anniversary of their wedding. Carly decided to sign the papers ending her marriage to Jax so that she could move forward with Johnny. Johnny's happiness with Carly was jeopardized when Connie resorted to blackmail to force him to help her stop Kate and Sonny's wedding. A new nurse named Sabrina was instantly smitten with Patrick. Patrick accepted a date with Britt Westbourne, a doctor on staff.

What happened during the week of September 17, 2012
Sharon returned to Newman Enterprises and forced Nick and Victoria to show their support for her as CEO by calling a press conference. Despite Nick and Victoria's warning that Tucker was using her, Sharon continued to trust him. Nikki appealed to Billy to use
Restless Style to find Victor. Abby refused to cooperate with the press conference. When Sharon tried to coerce Adam, he threatened to reveal to the judge that Sharon was cheating on Victor with Tucker. In Los Angeles, Victor broke his hand in a scuffle on the docks, and Sister Celeste was nearly run down by a forklift. To protect the nun, Victor pretended to give up the fight for the dockworkers, but he secretly continued to fight. Billy was upset when Genevieve reported that Victor had disappeared. Billy flew to L.A. after Victor returned. Billy asked a wary Victor to trust him. Sofia warned Tucker that he was risking SEC sanctions with his massive buying of the depressed Newman stock. Tucker asked Genevieve to take a picture of Victor. When Sharon saw the photo that showed Victor with Sister Celeste, she assumed her husband had deserted her for another woman. Billy texted Nikki a phone number where she could reach Victor. When Nikki called the number, Victor seemed to recognize Nikki's voice. A dockworker lured Victor into a warehouse that was rigged to blow up. Billy was unable to reach Victor before the warehouse exploded. Adam and Kevin met with Cane to make a deal between Jabot and TagNGrab. Kevin nixed the deal, and Adam was aggravated with Kevin. Michael advised Phyllis to stop keeping secrets and tell Leslie everything she'd done so her lawyer wouldn't be blindsided in court. Christine fumed at Ronan for having had an affair with Phyllis when he was investigating her for attempted murder. Christine informed Ronan that she would be reporting his impropriety to the Department of Justice. Summer moved to the tack house with Nick rather than live with Phyllis. Heather and Daniel's romance was derailed by the news that Daisy was alive. Kevin visited a comatose Daisy at Fairview and promised to protect her. Kevin would not allow Paul to bother Daisy with questions about Ricky. Paul went to see his sister, Patty, and when she created a diversion, Paul was able to sneak into Daisy's room. When Daisy awakened, she told Paul that she'd seen the video of Ricky murdering Rachel, and that was why Ricky had wanted to kill her, too. Paul took the information to Chris, Lauren, and Michael. When they returned to Fairview to get Daisy's testimony, they were shocked to learn that her mother had checked her out of the institution.

Brot and Natalia won the charity dance marathon. Ryan and Erica's relationship heated up. Scott decided to continue living at the Chandler mansion in order to keep an eye on Annie. Adam's judge ruled in Annie's favor. Annie was delighted to be a free woman. JR decided to shave his head after his first chemotherapy treatment. Adam suspected that JR's new look was a result of a drinking binge. Jake and Amanda drifted further apart thanks to David's machinations. Zach discouraged Liza from pursuing a relationship with him. Zach and Kendall had an honest discussion that drew them closer together. Liza sprang into action when D.A. Willis decided to interview Kendall in jail. Liza's efforts paid off when Willis left the prison without talking to Kendall. Stuart's birth mother, Bailey Welles, contacted Liza. Bailey wanted to find her son. Madison attempted suicide, but the Hubbards suspected that it had just been for show.

The Snyders blew their tops after learning that Paul and Emily wanted to adopt Liberty's baby. Emily clashed with Janet after Liberty decided to move to Fairwinds to escape Janet's hovering. Janet asked Jack to consider raising Liberty's baby. Rosanna and Craig bonded while caring for Johnny after a playground accident. They unexpectedly made love, and agreed to pretend it had never happened. Audrey ordered Henry to seduce Barbara into giving up on the inheritance money; however, Barbara rebuffed Henry's advances. Before Vienna could give Ralph and Audrey a check that Vienna thought was for charity, Maddie stopped her, asserting that Audrey was pulling a scam. Audrey warned Henry that Ralph would kill them if they reneged on the deal. After discussing her concerns with Casey, Maddie took the stand, and retold the story of burying Adam alive. Tom pleaded for leniency, and the judge dismissed Adam's case. Adam skipped town, leaving behind only a note, and Margo accused Casey of driving Adam away. After Eb left Maeve and Holden locked in a root cellar, the two discovered Skaggs's bank heist money hidden there. Lucinda and Meg's plan to nail Damian for obstruction of justice fell through when the handwriting analysis results were inconclusive. Lily clung to Damian even more, and a conflicted Jack suggested that Meg let go of her vendetta against Damian. When Noah told Luke that Mason had admitted his attraction to Noah, Luke wanted Mason fired. Before things escalated, Mason apologized and promised not to cross the line again.

Lionel Richie, featuring Jeremih, performed at Ultraviolet. Ross snatched Blair before she could stop Todd and Téa's wedding. Todd and Téa married for the third time. The next morning, Téa found the check that Dorian had written to Ross. Blair overheard a revealing conversation between Ross and Dorian. Schuyler learned that he would not be allowed to return to teaching. Gigi encouraged Schuyler to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. At Gigi's urging, Schuyler took a job at Rodi's to help pay for school. Kim and Stacy decided to make trouble for Gigi and Rex. Kim invited Schuyler on a date in an effort to make Gigi jealous. John suspected that Jared was hiding something. Jared made contact with the man that was stalking Jessica. Markko and Langston made love; they had no idea that Markko's camera had recorded them. Fish told Kyle that he loved him. Kyle claimed that he had moved on with Nick. Blair revealed to Todd that Téa was married to another man. Natalie discovered Jared on the patio, leaning over a dead man; Jared was covered in blood. Téa met face-to-face with Ross at La Boulaie.
