Steffy, Taylor, Brooke, Katie, Ridge, and Liam all knew that Steffy and Liam had made out in Italy before Liam married Hope. Brooke told Liam that if Liam didn't tell Hope about it, Brooke would tell her. Ridge disagreed, but Brooke would not back down. Steffy deleted the incriminating video of Steffy and Liam's tryst that was on Hope's iPad, but Steffy also emailed the video to herself. Liam told Steffy that he would always love her, but Liam told Ridge that he loved and married Hope and planned to honor his vows. Marcus and Dayzee planned their wedding at the Forrester mansion, and Dayzee selected a wedding dress that Thomas had designed for Hope's new bridal line. Marcus seemed nervous about selecting a wedding date. Liam tried to tell Hope about his time with Steffy before their wedding, but Hope had to start her fashion show. Hope introduced her new bridal line to the media, and she asked a nervous Liam to join her on stage. After the show, Liam told Hope that he had been alone with Steffy in his hotel room in Italy when he found the note that he thought Hope had written. He stammered about believing that Hope had left him, and Hope looked concerned. "Liam, what did you do?" Hope asked.

Rafe and Spencer tried to find a way to get more evidence against E.J. that would prove his guilt. E.J. told Sami about the results of the polygraph test, and she accused him of killing Stefano. Later, after she apologized, they had a close moment just as Lucas walked into the room. Lucas and E.J. argued about Sami and their family. Lucas warned E.J. to stay away from them or he would regret it. E.J. asked Sami to promise him that she would always protect their children if anything happened to him. Lucas went to John and Marlena for advice about how to handle Will's relationship with E.J. and how to get him out of Will's life. John told Marlena and Lucas his plan to take over DiMera Enterprises and claim his birthright, but the board members were afraid to challenge E.J. Nicole won a bet with Daniel that led to another day of romance, but Daniel questioned Nicole's feelings for Rafe. Brady tried again to convince Madison that Ian was responsible for getting him hooked back on drugs. Rafe, Roman, and Spencer got a warrant to search E.J.'s apartment. They found evidence that might link E.J. to Stefano's murder, but the police were unaware that someone had framed him. Bo and Hope investigated Melanie's disappearance. Chad and Daniel feared for Melanie's safety but were unaware that Gabi knew more than she was telling.

When Heather went through Ricky's personal effects, she showed Christine a copy of Phyllis' credit card statement from December 1994, and Christine realized Phyllis had rented the car that had hit her and Paul back then. Tucker agreed to sign the divorce papers when Ashley said she only wanted to be friends with him. Christine told Paul that Phyllis might have wanted to kill her because Danny had kissed her the day Chris was to marry Paul. Phyllis denied everything when Christine confronted her with the credit card statement. Michael concurred with Christine about the credit card statement and found further evidence that Phyllis had driven the rental car. However, the statute of limitations had expired, and Michael could not prosecute Phyllis. Abby asked Rafe to get Carmine's sentence reduced, but he explained that Chloe was going to testify against Carmine, and he was facing jail time. Abby asked Chloe to talk to Carmine and give him a chance to apologize. Michael warned Phyllis about Christine, but Phyllis refused to confess to anything, swearing to everyone -- Nick, Avery, and Michael -- that she was innocent. Daniel was disappointed in Phyllis and could not hide his feelings. Christine informed Paul and Nina that when Phyllis tried to run her down, Chris had been a federal employee, and there was no statute of limitations on the attempted murder of a federal agent. Christine was intent on putting Phyllis behind bars. Adam asked Victor to invest with him, but Victor would only work with Adam if he dropped Chelsea. Sharon overheard a passionate, angry exchange between Victor and Nikki. Later, Sharon shoplifted a necklace. Harmony asked Neil out on a date
