What happened during the week of
In Liam's candlelit living room, minutes before his divorce was final with Steffy, it was unclear what Liam would do. Hope interrupted with a video call. She was wearing a Forrester wedding gown, and Liam told her that he loved her. Steffy saw it and realized that her marriage was over because she knew Liam would not disappoint Hope. She ended the marriage. Liam looked confused. Liam told Bill about it, and Bill went ballistic but later agreed to be Liam's best man. Stephanie visited Liam to tell him he didn't have to marry Hope because everyone knew Liam still loved Steffy. Liam again looked confused. Bill put his plan into action to get Deacon out of jail to stop Liam and Hope's wedding. Hope asked Steffy to join them at the wedding, and Steffy refused, but Bill persuaded Steffy to attend the wedding because he said Liam could change his mind. Brooke, Ridge, Hope, Liam, and Steffy traveled to Italy together. Bill took his own jet and made a stop in Genoa City to pick up Deacon.

What happened during the week of
After Roman discovered that Stefano had been shot and killed, he began to investigate all of the possible suspects. Roman and an impartial officer questioned John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Kate, Will, E.J., and Abe as to their whereabouts on the night of Stefano's murder. They all admitted to being at the mansion that night, but all said that they had not shot him. Roman later learned that Abe's gun was the murder weapon and asked each suspect to submit to a gunshot residue test. Ian asked Kate to be honest with him about her feelings for Stefano. E.J. assured Sami that her role at Countess Wilhelmina was secure. After the paternity test revealed Rafe to be Nicole's baby's father, E.J. warned Nicole that he would learn the truth. Nicole thanked Daniel for risking his medical license to keep her baby safe. Austin promised Carrie that he would be a good father, and that he couldn't wait to share his life with her and the baby. Carrie and Rafe resolved that it was best for everyone if they went their separate ways. Melanie comforted Chad in his time of loss. Gabi's hired stalker was jealous over her attraction to Chad. Gabi was upset that Melanie and Chad told Rafe about her stalker. Sami and Lucas were worried that Will was a suspect in Stefano's murder. Roman told Will and his parents that Will had tested positive for gunshot residue, and that he had no choice but to arrest Will for Stefano's murder.

What happened during the week of
Heather buried Anthony's body in the woods. Sam made her way to the cabin near the motel to get help for her baby, but passed out before Todd answered her knock. Téa assumed that the baby in Todd's arms was hers, so Heather persuaded Todd not to correct Téa. According to Heather, Sam had intended to abandon the infant. Sam insisted that the dead baby that Jason had handed to her was not her son. Sam was certain that there had a been a baby switch, which Jason attributed to denial. Todd decided to whisk Téa and the baby to Llanview, before anyone realized that Téa's son was really Sam's infant. Sam asked John why he had never returned for her and the baby. John refused to tell Sam, but Sam learned from a nurse that John had been assaulted. Heather looked at the original paternity results of Sam's baby, which had revealed that Jason, not Franco, was the father. Kristina had a change of heart about the Mob Princess reality show when the camera crew tried to exploit Sam's loss. Carly agreed to give Johnny a second chance on the condition that he never lie to or keep secrets from her again. Starr learned that Kate's alter personality, Connie, had caused the crash that had killed Cole and Hope. Starr paid Kate a visit at Shadybrook. Matt's memories of killing Lisa returned, so he decided to take responsibility for what he had done. Olivia enlisted Spinelli's help to find out what Heather was hiding. Mac convinced Anna to take the job as police commissioner. Mac and Felicia admitted that they still had romantic feelings for each other.

What happened during the week of
Genevieve gave Christine the details of her finances in exchange for Cane being left alone by the government. Genevieve avoided jail time, but her assets were seized, and she was broke. Sharon accused Victoria of being a bitch. Billy thought that Victoria had acted like Victor by lashing out at Sharon. Ashley tried to give Tucker another chance with their marriage, but then realized she couldn't trust him. Despite Victor's last-minute court maneuver, Jack won Beauty of Nature when the judge ruled in his favor. Victor was sure Jack didn't have the money to close the Beauty of Nature deal. Phyllis discovered that Ricky was writing a tell-all book about her. Jack offered Victoria and Abby positions with Beauty of Nature. Phyllis confronted Tim to demand her patient file. Abby agreed to lend Jack the funds to buy Beauty of Nature. When Phyllis tried to tell Michael about her encounter with Tim, Michael stopped her because he was the new D.A. and would have to report her criminal actions. Neil proposed that Sofia move into a nearby apartment, but Sofia packed for her own place. Chloe and Kevin convinced Mrs. Chancellor to invest in their new website. Heather accepted Michael's offer to be assistant D.A. Phyllis and Nick agreed to get married immediately. Tim accused Ricky of being a sociopath. Paul told Chris and Heather he worried that Ricky was as dangerous as Isabella. On her wedding day, Phyllis had a terrible fight with Daisy. Later, Phyllis was alone when she began to lose the baby. Daisy heard Phyllis' cries for help and ignored them. Genevieve tried to hire Kevin to illegally access her secret bank accounts. Michael was sworn in as interim D.A.

Friends and family gathered to acknowledge the Annual Day of Compassion. Adam continued to gaslight Liza and attempted to gain Mia's trust, to Jake's dismay. Dr. Joe informed Hayley and Mateo that a donor had been found for Enzo. Kendall overheard a conversation between Chris and Bianca and jumped to the incorrect conclusion about her sister. Simone regretted becoming involved with Roger after he attempted to blackmail her. Greenlee was allowed to keep her job at Revlon. Count DuPres admitted that he could possibly be Leo's father.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2002
After Holden and Rosanna found Craig and Carly lip-locked at Java Underground, Carly confessed to Jack, who later attacked Craig. A badly beaten Craig turned to Rosanna for comfort, and they made love. In an attempt to patch up their differences, Rosanna, Craig, Carly, and Jack gathered for dinner, which led to Rosanna and Carly physically fighting over who was the best lover for Craig. Holden warned Craig to back off from Aaron. Alison, Lucy, and Aaron became stranded in Chicago when Alison secretly and deliberately tossed the keys to Holden's truck. Lucinda and Katie made plans to travel to Avanya. Simon met face-to-face with Henry. Barbara's confession was thrown out due to diminished capacity, and her attorney recruited Java Underground's newest employee -- Brandy. Hal convinced Barbara to reconsider Rosanna's offer. Hal and Emily agreed on a marriage proposal. After turning the castle into a museum, Bonnie and Isaac returned from Scotland. Lily experienced pain and spotting.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2002
Olivia used Lorelei's diary to manipulate Bill and made sure he found out that Beth was "his" Lorelei. Phillip was bothered with Beth and Bill's growing relationship and warned Bill to stay away from Beth. Marah confirmed Tony's worst fear that she'd had sex with Romeo. In a jealous rage, Tony went after Marah and nearly raped her. Marah begged Josh not to press charges against Tony, as she would never lay eyes on him again. Josh threatened Tony's life if he ever went near Marah again. Alan was not happy with Olivia's meddling into Beth and Phillip's happiness, but she ignored the all-powerful Mr. Spaulding. Mel was heartbroken when she learned that Rick had faked a fever so that a more deserving donor received the heart intended for him. Cassie was an emotional wreck and in denial as Richard remained unconscious and paralyzed from the waist down. Reva blamed herself for Richard's condition and for agreeing to keep his secret from Cassie about his new job and financial difficulties. Cassie was furious at Reva when she accidentally found out about Richard's new job. Tory seemed to buy into Ross and Blake's set-up, but Gus was furious that Harley had kept him in the dark about their sting. Tory met face-to-face with Blake alone at the house.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 2002
Max took his plans to get rid of Roxy one step further, by contacting her ex-boyfriend Greevy. Keri and Antonio continued their search for Mark while in Maui, because they thought he was Rae's long-lost love. However, they came up empty after Rae informed her connections there not to release any information about her past. Troy informed Nora that he had mistreated a woman from his past, but that he would not make the same mistake with her. Todd, Téa, and Rayburn all ended up stranded on an island from a boat wreck, but no one suffered from severe injuries. Viki put a plot in motion to make Natalie believe that she was suffering from dissociative identity disorder. Natalie began to wonder if she really was going crazy.

Timmy found himself facing an evil scarecrow and an evil tin man, thanks to Zombie Charity. Kay's plan to save Miguel worked as the holy water burned Zombie Charity. Nick thought he'd won as he prepared to leave the island with a brokenhearted Sheridan. Liz let a devastated Brian in on the truth, and Brian and Sheridan were reunited. Nick learned of "Diana's" true identity and plotted to destroy Brian. Gwen was relieved to learn that Ethan and Theresa had not been in the helicopter when it crashed. At the cabin, Ethan and Gwen finally realized that Theresa was in labor. Ethan and Gwen helped to deliver Theresa's baby.
