Liam asked Hope to attend Aspen Fashion Week with him, and Hope excitedly agreed. She also promised to no longer take the antianxiety medication. Brooke, Steffy, and Rick warned that Aspen was a media fest, but Hope insisted she would hide out at Bill's private estate. Bill, meanwhile, had Aspen insiders, Oliver and Ramona, working to undermine Hope's privacy. Bill told his people it was his mission not to give Hope a minute's peace and to drive her over the edge with media coverage. Oliver and Ramona announced cash bonuses to all media for coverage of Hope. Steffy reiterated to Liam that he belonged with Steffy because his life with Hope would always be fraught with drama. While Liam was working in Aspen, Hope was shopping, covered in a hat, but media tracked her down and hounded her. Rick's friend, Othello, took Hope to the Spencer retreat, but photographers followed and shot photos through the windows. A shaken Hope found the antianxiety medication bottle in her bag and stared at it amid the noise of the media right outside her window.

He tried to explain to her that he could not leave his children or family obligations, but she accused him of wanting to stay close to Sami. Later, Nicole suffered stress-related symptoms and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Daniel encouraged Nicole to tell E.J. that he was the baby's father, but she was reluctant to do so when she realized she had feelings for Rafe. Carrie told Austin that she wanted her marriage to work, but she couldn't stop thinking about Rafe. Autumn broke off her engagement with Lucas, and to Sami's delight, he decided to stay in Salem. Sami offered Lucas a job at Countess Wilhemina. Sami, Lucas, Will, and Allie spent time together as a family. E.J. seemed confused and hurt about Stefano's indifference toward him. Stefano could not muster the courage to tell E.J. the truth. Billie convinced E.J. that they should work together for a common cause. Gabi lied to her friends and told them that someone was stalking her. She played on their sympathy as a way to move in on Chad, and ruined his romantic getaway with Melanie. Kate told Stefano about Lexie's illness, and he rushed to be at his daughter's side. Dr. Yu explained to Stefano the possible cause of Lexie's tumor. Stefano felt regret and guilt when he realized that he might be responsible for her illness. Connie blackmailed Johnny, by threatening to accuse him of rape, if he didn't go along with her plans for Sonny to find Johnny in bed with "Kate." Connie was delighted when Sonny reacted, as she had anticipated, by breaking off his relationship with Kate. Carly also walked in on Johnny and "Kate" in bed together, so Carly ended things with Johnny. After Sonny cooled off, he realized that something else might be going on with Kate, because of her recent odd behavior and Jason's hints that Kate might be ill. Kate accused Johnny of taking advantage of her mental illness when she realized what had transpired while Connie was in control. Ewen persuaded Kate to check into Shadybrook. However, Connie emerged again, knocked Ewen out, and then fled. Elizabeth found Ewen's unconscious body. Jason was furious when he realized that Sam had been confiding to John McBain. Jason felt betrayed, because Sam had shared the results of the paternity test with John. Sam insisted that she had been trying to spare Jason unnecessary pain, but Jason accused Sam of lying. The Memphis police arrested Steve, so Olivia turned to Dante for help. Heather eavesdropped on Olivia and Dante's conversation, as Olivia revealed that Johnny had been blackmailing Steve. Lulu told Luke that she suspected Ronnie of attacking the dancers. Dante became worried when he failed to reach Lulu. Luke shared Lulu's suspicions with Dante. Spinelli theorized that Matt had killed Lisa Niles, and then had blocked out the memory. Spinelli raced to the courthouse to share his conclusions with Maxie. Maxie admitted that she had seen Matt kill Lisa, but she urged Spinelli not to tell anyone. Mac was stunned when Felicia showed up for Maxie's sentencing. Tracy tried to enlist Luke's help to end her marriage to Anthony by whatever means necessary.
