What happened during the week of
Amber admitted that she had given Hope the antianxiety pills -- not Dr. Barton. Hope and Amber struck a deal, and Amber gave Hope more pills even though Amber and Hope knew they were from an unreliable source on the Internet. Amber knew the site had been shut down because it was unsafe. Hope said the pills helped her, and she wanted to keep taking them. Brooke and Ridge wanted Rick to stop working with Amber, but Caroline defended Amber to everyone at Forrester. Brooke wanted Rick to work with Caroline and not with Amber. Caroline told Amber that she disagreed with the decision, and Amber thanked her. Amber knew Rick and Caroline had planned a date. Amber worked some magic with Photoshop and made it look like Rick liked to wear dresses. Amber showed the photo to Caroline, and that put the kibosh on Rick's date with Caroline. Thomas swooped in and snagged a date with Caroline ... and a kiss. Steffy met up with Liam, who was waiting for Hope. Liam and Steffy shared some memories and some laughs. Hope never showed up. Steffy kissed Liam, and refused to give up on their marriage. At home, Hope took a pill and passed out after she saw that Liam still had all his and Steffy's wedding photos on his laptop. Hope admitted to Liam that she had taken pills that Amber had purchased on the Internet. Liam was angry and insisted she stop taking the pills. Hope said she felt like she was living Steffy's life in Steffy's house.

What happened during the week of
Bo regained consciousness but was upset to learn about John and Hope's run-in with Stefano while he held them captive in Alamainia. Stefano demanded that John and Hope return the gold coin to him or risk potential harm to their families. Billie turned the tables on E.J. and suggested that they work together or he could lose his job as mayor. Stefano told Kate that he knew of her affair with Ian and kicked her out of the mansion. Kate was outraged to learn that Stefano had appointed Sami as CEO of Countess W, and that he took away Hearth and Home from Lucas. E.J. was devastated and saddened to learn of Lexie's grave medical condition and showed his support to her and Abe. E.J. offered to help Sami with her duties as CEO, but she refused because she did not want to alienate Stefano. Kate and E.J.'s attempts to reason with Stefano failed miserably. Stefano could not find the strength or courage to tell E.J. that he was not E.J.'s biological father. Abigail and Cameron enjoyed a pleasant evening together while Billie and Daniel shared a friendly dinner at the Brady Pub. Will told Gabi that he was gay, but then refused her request to help break up Chad and Melanie. Carrie told Austin that she wanted their marriage to work, but later met with Rafe and told him that she couldn't stop thinking of him. Sami warned Austin to be sure that Carrie was over Rafe before he had his heart broken again. Ian agreed to grant Madison a divorce, but while she celebrated with Brady, Ian had other plans that would rock her world. Later, Madison was shocked when Ian offered Kate the role of Co-CEO of Mad World Cosmetics.

What happened during the week of
A jury acquitted Sonny of causing the accident that had killed Hope and Cole. Starr decided to leave town, but stopped off at Johnny's penthouse to get some answers. Johnny learned that Starr had been working on a recording deal in Los Angeles, but the financial backing had fallen through. Starr was stunned when Johnny bought the record contract, so that Starr could remain in Port Charles to witness Sonny's downfall. Dante got wind of Johnny's illegal organ-selling ring, so he informed Johnny that they were onto him, and that the investigation into who had shot out Anthony's tires had been reopened. Connie intended to give Sonny a birthday present that he wouldn't forget, so she turned to Johnny for help. Sam was heartbroken when the second paternity test revealed that Franco was the father of her baby. Sam told Jason that Franco was his twin brother, and the father of her baby. Jason was hurt that Sam had kept secrets from him again, but Sam insisted that she had done it to protect Jason from more pain. John was determined to use the investigative allowance that Anna had obtained from the FBI to make Sonny pay for killing John's sister. Anna urged John to talk to Natalie about his plans. Maggie made the mistake of accusing Heather of being crazy, so Heather threatened Maggie. Steve asked Ewen to talk to Heather to determine if Heather were mentally unstable. Ewen explained that he would need more than one session with Heather to properly diagnose her. Spinelli concluded that Patrick had killed Lisa Niles, but Matt refused to believe that his brother was capable of murder. Lulu began to suspect that Ronnie had assaulted the dancers, so she talked to her father about it.

What happened during the week of
Genevieve wanted to marry Jack, but he told her he had no faith in their future together. Nikki was relieved with Jack's decision, and when Jack learned that Nikki walked out on Victor, he and Nikki made love. Genevieve went to Victor's hotel room with the contract for Beauty of Nature and a bottle of champagne. Victor offered to put Genevieve in charge of the entire Newman cosmetics division, and she agreed to sell to him. After signing the deal memo, Victor and Genevieve made love. The next day, Victor and Genevieve crashed the party for Victoria and Billy's baby, flaunting their relationship and prompting Jack and Nikki to go public with their union. Sofia told Neil that Tucker hadn't really fired her. Neil couldn't forgive Sofia, and later, at the studio, Neil and Harmony shared a slow dance and wound up kissing. Daisy threatened to take Lucy and leave town. Ricky arranged to snatch Lucy from the coffeehouse to make Daniel look like an unreliable parent and secure Daisy a win in the custody hearing. Victoria apologized to Adam for doubting that he'd rescued Chelsea. Adam repaid Victoria's faith in him by telling her the truth about how Victor had hired Chelsea to destroy Billy and Victoria's marriage. Nikki went horseback riding at the ranch, and when she hurt her ankle, Victor cared for her. Despite their closeness, Nikki would not return to Victor. Phyllis believed that Daniel had been set up to lose Lucy at the coffeehouse. Michael was upset with Lauren out of town and neglected an assignment from Victor involving the SEC and Beauty of Nature. Chloe and Delia toured Kevin's house and agreed to move there.

Keeping the memory alive: A look at what happened this week in 1998
Mateo recalled more of his visions and became concerned for Hayley's safety. Brooke was arrested and forced to spend the night in jail. She was granted bail, but at a price of one million dollars cash. Dimitri put up the money for her so that she could return home. Camille tried to get Jack to arrest Adam for murdering her mother, but he said that there wasn't enough evidence to take action. Kelsey's loose lips revealed that both Ryan and Gillian were penniless. The newlyweds managed to barely convince Immigration that their marriage was legitimate. Allie confessed her crime to Jack, but he urged her to keep quiet until she considered what could happen to her by revealing the truth. She later told Joe, and was immediately suspended from duty. While headed to an awards ceremony in his honor, Stuart got trapped in an elevator with Marian. The elevator suddenly dropped, and both were seriously injured.

John told Hal that Carly had a heart condition; later, Carly fainted. A new couple joined Lily and Holden's childbirth classes, and they had an ulterior motive. Matt took Adam hostage at the courthouse.

Josh regretted making love to Clone Reva. Beth was charged with murder. Clone Reva told Buzz that she was a clone, but he didn't believe her -- at first. Harley told Phillip that they were over. Dinah accused Cassie -- again -- of having an affair with Josh, and Cassie didn't deny it, for Josh and Michael's sake. Real Reva called home, and no one would talk to her. Michelle learned that Carlos was really Jesse. Hart welcomed Dinah back into his house.
