Hope decided to live with Liam because, in her heart, they were married but had to wait six months for the legality of it -- only because Steffy would not sign the annulment papers. Liam was thrilled, but parents and grandparents had to weigh in. Bill tried to persuade Liam that he belonged with Steffy. Stephanie visited Liam to try to dissuade him from discarding his marriage with Steffy. Hope visited Steffy to tell her the news that Hope and Liam were moving in together. Liam followed and told Steffy that he planned to move on with Hope. Liam told Steffy that she needed to move on, as well. Steffy was heartbroken. Hope awaited her night of passion with Liam. Brooke and Ridge tried not to let Steffy and Hope get between them. Bridget and Owen announced to anyone who would listen that they did not belong together. Owen visited Jackie and said that he wanted to return to her. Bridget gave them her blessing.
Sami blamed Marlena for ruining her life, marriage, and relationship with Will. Sami's attempt to work out her differences with Will backfired and drove him further away. Sonny offered comforting words to Will. Nicole and Rafe learned of Sami and E.J.'s betrayal and left their respective spouses in a whirlwind of rage and fury. Daniel returned to Salem just in time to rescue Nicole from a fainting spell in Horton Square. Later, Nicole learned that she was pregnant and begged Daniel to help her keep the news from E.J. Ian told Kate that Sami was a mole in her company. Later, Kate told Sami about the spy at Countess W, and that she planned to expose the person at all costs. Lucas returned to Salem to help Sami get her life back on track. John and Hope left for Alamainia with mixed feelings for each other and their upcoming trip. Later, they began to recall memories of their romance together in Alamainia. John told Hope that he was working with ISA. Stefano arrived in Alamainia to taunt John and Hope. A short time later, they found John's contact, Walsh, dead in their hotel room. Abe and Bo put their heads together to find a way to get back at E.J. Rafe was unwilling to listen to Sami's plea to save their marriage, but agreed to help her with the kids while she was out of town on business. Austin surprised Carrie with a romantic weekend at Green Mountain Lodge. Abigail tracked down Austin, and convinced Melanie to go with her for a getaway to the same place. Gabi had her own agenda for Chad while Melanie was away for the weekend. Brady told Madison that he couldn't live without her, but told her that the price for their love might cost her Mad World if she wanted to get a divorce from Ian.

What happened during the week of
In a shocking twist, Helena shot and killed her daughter, when Irina tried to turn the tables on her mother. Ethan swore to avenge Cassandra's murder. Helena intended for Luke to see his son die, but Holly Sutton arrived in time to save Ethan, by claiming that Ethan was really Robert Scorpio's son. Helena decided to do a DNA test, and then return to carry out her deadly plan if the tests proved that Holly had lied. Patrick agreed to operate on Jason. Sam implored Patrick not to tell Jason about Robin's tragic death, because he feared that it would kill Jason. Carly disagreed with Sam's decision to keep Robin's death from Jason. Patrick agreed to go along with Sam's request, because he knew it was what Robin would have wanted. Patrick and Elizabeth gently broke the news of Robin's death to Emma. Robert refused to believe that Robin had been killed, so he went to the morgue to see his daughter's charred remains. Robert took off, overcome with grief and guilt, so Anna turned to Luke for help. Carly and Johnny's affair heated up. Anthony turned to Johnny for sanctuary. Olivia became concerned when she saw Kate in the bloodstained wedding gown, but Kate managed to explain her odd behavior away. Kate vowed to stay away from Sonny, but Sonny broke down Kate's defenses, and then persuaded her to give him another chance. Dante found a gun in Kate's office. Blair arrived in Port Charles. Epiphany told Blair about the car accident, and that Hope and Cole had been killed.

George continued stonewalling Phyllis, but Avery caught on and realized that her parents had been lying all along. Lauren told Jill that she'd bought a gun for protection from Daisy. Phyllis was devastated when Daisy took custody of Lucy. Victoria learned about Victor's involvement with Anita and Chelsea. Nikki was able to forgive Victor, but Victoria couldn't. Victoria agreed to be CEO of Beauty of Nature. Adam told Sharon that he was a changed man and wanted to return to Genoa City to make amends. Patty admitted to Paul that Adam had helped her escape from the mental institution. In Dallas for Devon's surgery, Tucker warned Harmony to leave Neil alone because he was a married man. Nick and Phyllis agreed to resume their affair. Because of Hope, Victor allowed Adam back into Newman Enterprises. Paul found Sharon instead of Adam and decided to tell her about Adam's evil ways. Ricky sold Phyllis his story about Patty's escape and Adam's part in it, but Phyllis decided to kill the story rather than publish it. Victoria had second thoughts and told Genevieve she couldn't take the CEO job because of family obligations. Ricky met Daisy. Daniel agreed to fight Daisy for custody of Lucy.

John and Barbara admitted their fondness for each other.

Charity pointed out a headstone where "Danni" liked to lay her head; the name Dutton was on the headstone. HB was very sick.
