What happened during the week of
At his deposition, John accused E.J. of framing him for embezzling funds from his investors, and then warned him that the truth would come out. Stefano told an infuriated Kate that he could not confide in her about his problems for her own good. Hope called Susan Banks in England and questioned her about Alice's connection to Stefano, but Susan panicked and then disconnected the call. Stefano refused to cooperate with Bo and Hope about the true meaning of the note they had found in Alice's Christmas ornament. Sami had harsh words for Carrie for inviting Marlena to her house for a Christmas celebration without asking her first. Will drank too much at the family gathering, lashed out at Sami for berating Marlena, and then implied that his mother was a hypocrite and had no right to judge others. Sami, Rafe, Austin, and Marlena were concerned over Will's nasty and sarcastic behavior, unaware that he was struggling to keep the secret that his mother had had a one-night stand with E.J. Marlena made some progress in her relationship with Sami. Kate offered a surprised Sami business advice on how to get the upper hand on Madison. Abigail's infatuation with Austin prompted her to invite him to attend her awards ceremony at Horton Square. The leader of the gambling ring and his associates kidnapped Chad, Melanie, Gabi, and Abigail, and forced Will and Sonny to get the site up and running again if they wanted to save their friends. Thinking that they would not make it out of the warehouse alive, Chad and Melanie kissed and then admitted that they had feelings for each other. Victor, Maggie, Daniel, Jennifer, Jack, and Rafe waited patiently to hear word of their family members. Bo, Hope, and Austin arrived in time to save the day.

General Hospital
What happened during the week of
Sonny returned to the brownstone where he had grown up, to face his demons. Diane announced that she had been hired to write a column for newly resigned Mayor Floyd's newspaper, which he intended to revamp and rename. The ex-mayor also decided to start using his middle name, Prescott, instead of Garrett to launch his new career. Jason turned violent when Pres revealed plans to print an article about Franco's return. Pres insisted on pressing charges against Jason for the assault, so Dante arrested Jason. Sam and Michael followed the clues in their search for Franco. Sam was shaken when she and Michael discovered another gift from Franco, a DVD. Sam wept as she clutched her fertility necklace after viewing the DVD alone. Jason's outbursts of anger continued as he lingered in jail. Elizabeth was devastated when Lucky made it clear that they did not have a future together. Elizabeth accused Lucky of being like his father, and then left the hospital without telling anyone where she was going. Lulu and Dante broke off their engagement, because Lulu couldn't accept Dante's decision to work in the field instead of behind a desk. Spinelli suggested that perhaps Lulu had changed, because the old Lulu would have followed her heart, instead of allowing fear to guide her decisions. Maxie reminded Anthony of the favor that he owed her, so she asked him to help cover up Lisa's murder, to protect herself and her loved ones from being charged with murder. Matt resurfaced in time for Mac to round up all of the suspects, including the Zaccharas, on the chartered boat where Lisa had been killed.

Cutter offered to take "Stacy" anywhere in the world that she wanted to go to, so she picked Paris, Texas, unaware of her connection to the small town. "Stacy" and Cutter took jobs at the Bon Jour Café. Shane persuaded Neela to help him obtain proof that Jack had been responsible for Gigi's death. Neela armed herself with a recorder, and then paid Jack a visit. Rex decided to whisk Shane off to Paris, Texas, when Shane told his father about Noelle's plans to enter a special pie recipe, in honor of Gigi, at the annual "Pie-Off."
