Maggie survived surgery but remained on life support. Roman order Bo and Hope off the DiMera/Kiriakis investigation. Victor, heartbroken over Maggie's condition, promised Bo that he would not retaliate against the DiMera family, but Brady had plans of his own to protect his loved ones. Stefano ordered Marco to leave town. E.J. blasted Stefano for causing another innocent person to be caught in the line of DiMera fire. E.J. and Stefano had a violent argument about Maggie's shooting that caused Stefano to go into diabetic shock. After Chad sided with Stefano, E.J. tried to convince him to make a break from the family while he still had a chance to live a normal life. Taylor learned that E.J. had lied to her about his involvement in Maggie's shooting in order to protect her. D.A. Woods asked Sonny for a favor. Daniel and Jennifer got back together. Stefano told Kate that he had to finish the job that he had started. Chad and Abigail admitted that they loved each other, but he told her that he had no choice but to support his family. E.J. asked Brady for another truce, but Brady didn't believe him, and then moved forward with his plan to retaliate. Rafe seemed shocked that Will and Gabi were on the verge of having sex. Will and Gabi made love for the first time. Sami and Rafe discussed having a child together. Quinn continued to lie to Vivian about helping Carly. Carly saw Melanie's television appeal to her and realized that her family and friends knew about her drug addiction. Devastated and unable to cope with the fallout, Carly left Quinn's hotel room, frightened and alone. Taylor reconsidered giving E.J. a second chance. Dimitri had his sites set on another DiMera.
Elizabeth rushed Siobhan to the hospital after Siobhan suffered a head injury during a fall down a flight of stairs. Matt operated on Siobhan to stabilize her, but he was curious were Lucky was. Lucky stumbled into the church where he and Elizabeth had once exchanged vows. Elizabeth found Lucky at the church, but he was in a weakened state, so she injected him with medication to counter the effects of the drugs that Lucky had been given. Jax managed to kidnap Josslyn. Carly turned to Jason for help, but they were involved in a car crash while driving. Jason was taken to the hospital, where the doctors discovered a mass on the base of his frontal lobe. Patrick insisted that Jason required surgery, so that they could biopsy the mass to determine what it was. Sam wanted to wait for Jason's brain swelling to go down, but Monica reminded Sam that it was Monica's decision to make. Alexis and Diane found themselves stranded at Jake's during the storm; they they knocked back drinks and played strip pool with Coleman. Sonny went looking for Jax with deadly intent, determined to make certain that Jax never took another thing from Sonny again. Jax turned to Robin for help after his car broke down. Sonny discovered that Jax and Josslyn were hiding out at Robin's house when he overheard a video chat between Matt and Robin. Shawn and Robin persuaded Jax to hand over Josslyn to Shawn, so that Shawn could return Josslyn to Carly. Sonny caught up with Jax at Robin's house.

Nora pleaded with Destiny to reconsider terminating the pregnancy because the baby would be the only part of Matthew that Nora and Bo would have left. Nora promised that she and Bo would raise the baby if Destiny wasn't ready for motherhood. Starr and James made love. The DNA results on the two men claiming to be Todd Manning revealed that they were both a match to Todd Manning. John decided to do another round of DNA testing. Viki opened her home to the man with the scar until the results of the second DNA tests were revealed. Viki suggested that only Todd's deceased mother, Irene Manning, could solve the mystery. David surprised both men claiming to be Todd by admitting that he had Irene Manning's diary. Unbeknownst to everyone, Irene Manning was revealed to be Agent Baker's boss. John managed to track Agent Baker's movements to a military compound in Louisiana, so John enlisted Tomas and Brody's help to infiltrate it. Baker offered to take John, Tomas, and Brody to Irene. Vimal warned Brody that Todd knew the truth about Liam's paternity. Rama told Cris that she had worked things out with Vimal, so she urged Cris to find love because he deserved the best. Natalie reached out for Madame Delphina's help after Natalie found Rex reviewing security tapes for glimpses of Gigi. Madame Delphina's message to Rex was "Spotted Pony." The judge agreed to put Clint under house arrest at Llanfair.

Nina was shocked to find Ronan at the Genoa City Police Station. Ronan suspected Adam had killed Diane because of a clue that seemed to link her body to his Harvard class ring. Lily told Daniel she was divorcing Cane. Genevieve informed Cane and Colin that she was staying. Jack vowed to fight for custody of Kyle, opposing Diane's decision to bequeath custody to Victor. Tucker lied about a serious rash on his wrist. Nick and Ashley searched the park for her lost cell phone because it had a message on it that might incriminate Nick in Diane's murder. Deacon threatened Abby and Phyllis about their connection to Diane's murder. Kay confided her strategy to Neil about using Tucker's company to get Chancellor Industries to acquire Jabot. Kyle swiped Jack's Harvard ring to protect his father from the cops. Avery's defense team included students and they set to work on getting Sharon a new trial. From Hong Kong, Billy sent Delia a jade bracelet, but Chloe was infuriated that Billy had left without saying goodbye to his daughter. Ronan questioned Phyllis about an acrylic nail at the crime scene. Kevin broke up with Chloe because of her obsession with bad boys like Billy.
