All soaps up in ratings for end of December

It looks like soap fans rallied to make one of the final weeks of 2016 daytime TV a ratings success.

Congratulations are in order for all four daytime dramas. The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, and General Hospital all saw ratings increases during the week of December 19 through December 23.

Y&R managed to bring in a total of 4,729,000 viewers, which gave it a 107,000 lead over last week. B&B pulled in 3,752,000 total viewers, a 48,000 bump from last week. GH garnered 2,688,000 total viewers, giving it a 54,000 increase from last week. And DAYS saw a total of 2,456,000 viewers, which bumped it up 120,000 from its position last week.

Furthermore, all four soap operas were up in the important Women 18-34 category; all but DAYS managed to increase in the Women 18-49 category; and all but GH were up in the Women 25-54 category.
