New soap Star gets seriously hot debut time slot

FOX has pulled strings to give its new soap, Star, a fabulous debut.

Lee Daniels' super soapy primetime series, Star, is getting the star treatment. The nighttime soap opera, executive produced by former The Young and the Restless EP/head writer Charles Pratt Jr., will debut immediately following the Empire season 3 fall finale on Wednesday, December 14.

Empire is set to air an hour earlier than usual, at 8PM, with Star premiering at 9PM. And then every Wednesday thereafter, beginning Wednesday, January 4, Star will air in Empire's 9PM time slot.

Soap Central brought you the first trailer for the series last month along with the news that Y&R alum Darius McCrary (ex-Malcolm Winters) has joined the show that boasts Queen Latifah, Naomi Campbell, Lenny Kravitz, and Tyrese Gibson.

Check out trailer again below then let us know your thoughts on Star.
