First annual soapcentral.com pet photo contest

Is your pet the cutest pet around? Do you dress your pet up for Halloween? Well here's a chance for your four-legged friend to become famous. soapcentral.com is holding its first pet photo contest and giving its readers a chance to win some very cool pet products.
For the first time in our 16 year history, soapcentral.com is celebrating a passion other than our love for all things soap. That's right, we're taking a few weeks out to share our love of animals. So many of our readers have pets -- furry, feathered, scaly, or otherwise -- and we know that they treat them like a member of the family. Sometimes, maybe even better than family!
To help celebrate this love of pets, we're holding our first-ever soapcentral.com Pet Photo contest. Anyone with a pet can enter the contest -- it's totally free to do so. All you have to do to enter is to submit a photo of your pet -- and we know you have pictures of your pups, kitties, fish, snakes, bunnies, hamsters, ferrets, cows, and other friends. If your pet is chosen as one of our winners, he or she will be rewarded with some very cool pet swag.
CATEGORIES
There are three different categories that you can enter. You may enter a photo in one, two, or all three categories. However, only one entry per person will be permitted per category.
To enter, visit our Facebook page and upload your photo. You can also email your photos to us. Please use the appropriate links below.
Cutest pet
Do you have a picture of your favorite companion animal that makes people go, "Aww" when they see it? We're looking to find the cutest pet around. It doesn't matter if your pet is a puppy, a horse, or a goldfish.

Soap star look-alike
On the soaps, it seems like every character has an evil twin or doppelganger. Maybe your cockatoo looks like Erica Kane. Or perhaps your poodle shares a striking resemblance to Sonny Corinthos. Of course the category is tongue-in-cheek, but soap fans are known for having vivid imaginations -- so have fun with it!

Trick-or-treat
Have you ever dressed your pet in a costume for Halloween? If you haven't, it's that time of year -- so you still have time to snap a photo of Sparky in that pirate costume, or maybe Fifi wants to dress up like Cleopatra.

PRIZES
Three winners (one in each category) will be selected by a panel of soapcentral.com judges. Winners will receive one pet bed from Better Buddies (betterbuddies.com) line of eco-friendly pet products. Winners will be contacted directly to ensure that the bed size is appropriate for their pet. Additional prizes will be awarded at the discretion of soapcentral.com.
OFFICIAL RULES
- By submitting a photo into the contest, you grant soapcentral.com the right to publish that photo on the soapcentral.com web site.
- Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia at least eighteen (18) years old or age of majority, whichever is older, in their state of residence and older. soapcentral.com employees, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and those living in their households are not eligible to enter this contest.
- Deadline for submissions is 11:59pm PT on October 31, 2011. Any entry received after that time will be ineligible to win one of the grand prizes
- Only one entry per person per category is permitted. In the event that an individual submits more than one photo per category, only the first entry will be considered eligible.
- One winner will be selected from each category. Winners will be contacted by email and have 72 hours to reply with their mailing information. In the event that a winner does not respond, soapcentral.com reserves the right to award the prize to the second place entrant.
