This year's soapcentral.com Awards are now underway. The awards, affectionately known as the Dankies, are the only awards that allow the fans to honor the best of daytime.

The Oscars®. The Golden Globes®. The Emmys®. Every genre of entertainment has its own awards ceremony (and some have more than one). Here on soapcentral.com we have The Dankies (named after soapcentral.com founder Dan J Kroll), one of the few awards ceremonies where you, the fans, have a say in every step of the awards process. From the nominations straight through to the selection of the winners, the fans control the process.
The Dankies process has several phases -- and you are invited to take part in every step of the voting process. For your convenience, here is a schedule of this year's Dankies.

Monday, January 16th, 2012 to Wednesday, February 01st, 2012
Nominations Phase: Fans can nominate their selections for any and all of the soaps that they watch.
Monday, February 13th, 2012 to Monday, March 12th, 2012
The top nominees for each soap compete on a final ballot to determine the best of each soap.
Friday, March 4, 2011
Winners will be announced on a special edition of Soap Central Live.
Monday, March 26th, 2012 to Monday, April 23rd, 2012
"All Soaps" ballot features the winners for each soap's voting. Winners determine the best of daytime in 2012
