Outgoing All My Children star Maximillian Alexander (Carlos Reyes) is now appearing the Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's Tony Award winning play, Take Me Out. Take Me Out is the fictional story of baseball superstar Darren Lemming, a young star at the top of his game. One day Darren, played by Daniel Sunjata, calls what appears to be a typical news conference - but the press conference features a stunning admission by the baseball player. Take Me Out chronicles the fall-out of Darren's admission and the impact it has on his teammates, the media and the nation at large.
Take Me Out debuted in February to high praise. In fact, the play has won virtually every award imaginable in the past few months. The honors included the Drama Desk Award, the New York Drama Critics Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama League Award and the Lucille Lortel Award. The stunning success of the play culminated at this year's Tony Awards where Take Me Out was named Best Play. Additionally, Sunjata's co-star, Denis O'Hare, was named the Best Supporting Actor in a Play.
Maximillian Alexander made his debut performance on November 4th. He appears in two roles in the play, Rodriguez and a police officer.
