The Amazing Model Race

The contestants arrived at the overseas location, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Fernanda Motta, supermodel and host of Brazil's Next Top Model, greeted them. Fernanda told the girls that their challenge required them to locate and deliver flowers to Helo Pinheiro, the "girl from Ipanema." The girls paired off and headed to the flower shop in search of the "girl from Ipanema."

Natalie and Fo traveled together. Teyona and Aminat were partners. Allison and Celia worked together.

Hurt by Teyona's decision to pick Celia for the Seventeen shoot, Fo was determined to beat Teyona in the challenge. Natalie and Fo continued to stay one step ahead of their opponents and managed to win the challenge. At the Botanical Gardens, the girls met the "girl from Ipanema," who gave them the keys to their new home in Brazil.

While the other finalists were all thrilled by their lavish Brazilian apartment, Natalie complained about her new surroundings.

Later, the girls received a Tyra Mail. It read, "Fight or Flight. You better be ready to do both!"

The next day, the girls arrived at the site of the challenge and were introduced to Capoeira Master, Mestre Eddy Murphy. Explaining that Capoeira was another name for martial arts, Eddy related that the art involved flexibility, confidence, and the ability to create drama. Eddy advised the girls that a model that possessed Capoeira skills could be at an advantage in the modeling world. After demonstrating several strategic positions, Eddy encouraged the girls to create drama with every pose.

Jay Manuel and J. Alexander introduced the contestants to photographer, Paschoal Rodriguez, and announced that the winner of the shoot would receive fifty percent more frames at the next photo shoot. The winner would be able to take those extra frames from another contestant of her choice.

Teyona was told that she concentrated on the moves and totally forgot her face.

Natalie was criticized and told that she looked clumsy on her picture.

Jay thought Allison looked beautiful and was aware of the camera.

Fo was told that her body looked great, but her face wasn't the best.

Jay remarked that Aminat had demonstrated her strongest moves of the competition.

The judges weren't pleased with Celia's performance.

Jay announced that Fo was the winner. Fo chose to take her extra frames from Teyona.

Back at the apartment, the girls received a Tyra Mail. It read, "You'll the fruits of your labor!" Teyona confronted Fo about taking her frames. Reminding Teyona that she had chosen Celia to appear with her in the Seventeen photo shoot, Fo informed Teyona that it was payback. Teyona was adamant that she would do well regardless of the lost frames.

The girls were transported to a Brazilian neighborhood that had been originally built by the poor. Jay gave the girls a brief lesson on the history of the Brazilian icon, Carmen Miranda, the Chiquita banana lady. Mentioning that Carmen Miranda was best known for being styled in the hat filled with fruit, Jay told the contestants that the icon was known for her sex appeal, and encouraged the girls to pose provocatively.

The finalists wore colorful makeup, beautiful jewelry, and ruffled dresses-and donned large hats filled with fruit. Pleased by the opportunity to exude sex appeal, Natalie was certain that she would do well. Teyona and Aminat discussed Fo's betrayal. Aminat hoped that Fo would be sent home. Aware that she was the topic of Teyona and Aminat's conversation, Fo was determined to impress the judges.

During the shoot, Jay remarked that Allison looked sexy and came alive.

Aminat and Celia gave mediocre performances.

Although Natalie was distracted by the "bad" neighborhood, Jay commented that her poses looked great.

Jay stated that Teyona was focused throughout the shoot. He said that she looked like a model.

Jay thought Fo posed exactly like Carmen Miranda and showed very little originality. After the shoot, Jay told Fo that she appeared confused and desperately needed the extra frames.

Back at the apartment, Aminat was nervous about the upcoming elimination, but she was convinced that she had improved. Meanwhile, Fo prayed for a good picture.

At panel, Tyra introduced Fernanda Motta as the guest judge, and the judges evaluated the contestants' photos.

Aminat was told that she needed to take more chances. Paulina commented that she was a boring model.

The judges weren't impressed with Natalie's picture. Nigel and Tyra mentioned that she gave the same look in each frame. Tyra appeared bothered when Natalie blamed Jay for encouraging her to pose in the manner that she had. Paulina remarked that she saw no spark in Celia's photo. Tyra thought Celia's picture was her weakest shot of the entire competition.

Nigel said that Allison had a beautiful editorial shot. The judges all thought that Allison looked sexy.

The judges stated that Fo's photos weren't strong.

Nigel thought that Teyona looked fantastic and displayed attitude in her picture.

After the judges' deliberation, the contestants returned to learn the judges' decision.

Allison was told that she had the best picture, and was called first.

Teyona, Fo, and Celia were all told that they were still in the running to become America's Next Top Model.

Aminat and Natalie were asked to step forward.

Tyra said that Natalie was one of the prettiest girls in the competition but her photos were uninspiring.

Tyra said that Aminat had the best body and looked like a real model. However, Tyra thought that Aminat never brought energy or fierceness to the set.

Natalie, the eighteen-year-old student from Palos Verdes, California, was sent home.

Five girls remained.
