James Stevenson grew up on a small horse farm in Tolland, Connecticut and spent three years working at a local garage in his hometown. He then moved to New York City where he performed in many local stage productions as well as guest-starred in an episode of ABC's "Hope & Faith."

In 2005, Stevenson starred as "Hank," the sexy lead singer of the nouvelle-punk band 'Modern Man', who had come to a crossroads in his personal and professional world, in the UPN drama "Sex, Love & Secrets." This was his first series television role.

In addition to acting, he enjoys playing guitar, cars, all types of music and hanging out with his friends. His birthday is March 25.
