Fans of Passions will soon have a way to double their daily dose of the non-traditional NBC soap. Beginning in early 2006, the series will start appearing in reruns on a popular cable channel.
SCI FI Channel has acquired to rights to rebroadcast old episodes of Passions. In the interest of disclosure, the NBC television network and the SCI FI Channel are part of the same family of television stations, with both being owned by NBC Universal.
"Passions dramatic blend of magic, romance, the supernatural and fantasy makes it an ideal choice for SCI FI's morning line up. The program's established ratings success with young women dovetails with our overall growth strategy and has the potential to significantly extend the reach of the channel," said Dave Howe, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the SCI FI Channel.
Episodes of Passions will air at 900am beginning February 13th and will pick up with the series' very first episode, which originally aired on July 5, 1999. Now fans who hopped on the Passions bandwagon during the series' run will have a chance to see how things all began. And for fans who've been watching since the very beginning, here's a second opportunity to relive the magic and see some familiar faces from the past.
