OLTL alum Renée Elise Goldsberry renews Broadway contract

Tony Award-winning actress Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson, One Life to Live) has extended her Broadway contract for Hamilton.

Former One Life to Live star Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson) won't be exiting Broadway anytime soon.

Hot on the heels of the news that Brendon Victor Dixon and Lexi Lawson will be taking over as the leads in Hamilton comes word that the Tony Award-winning actress has renewed her contract and will remain with the production for an unspecified amount of time.

As fans of Goldsberry likely recall, the actress won a Tony in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role category earlier this year for the part of Angelica Schuyler Church. The show itself earned eleven Tony Awards and has grossed $86 million to date.

Are you happy to hear Goldsberry will remain in Hamilton? Do you miss seeing her in daytime? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
