He was once a Llanview heartthrob, but One Life to Live fans witnessed the unfortunate downward spiral for Brandon Buddy (ex-Cole Thornhart) that reached a climax in January when the actor was arrested for a DWI in his homestate of Texas.
As fans may recall, Buddy was picked up by cops in Austin after he was seen taking off in his car while seemingly under the influence. He was covered in scratches and had just grabbed a beer from a gas station before being stopped. Cops took the “semi-conscious” star to a nearby hospital before arresting him for driving while intoxicated. He was also put under investigation for possible possession of dangerous drugs.
Seven months after the horrifying incident, Buddy has finally broken his silence with his first Twitter post since December. “The beautiful thing about being lost is that then you can be found!!!,” he wrote. “About 7 months ago I was breaths away from death and now I'm stronger than I've ever been!!! I want to thank you all for your prayers!!! Words cannot describe how sorry I am for all the broken promises, for letting you down and for the hurt that I might have caused!!!! I have been blessed with a fresh start and understand the importance of it!!!.... I was rescued from the pit of my hell not to better my life but to help others! Thank you all for your love and support. Talk to you soon!!”
Buddy played the role of Patrick (Thorsten Kaye) and Marty's (Susan Haskell) son, Cole, from 2006 to 2010.
