How to spend $10,000 in LA in one day (Hint: it involves helicoptering to your favorite soap stars)

If you've got a few thousand bucks burning a hole in your pocket, there's an easy way to blow it all in just one day spent in Los Angeles. And all the fun includes a surefire way to make all of your soap-opera-loving friends extremely jealous.

The ever-exciting expanse of lights, pavement, and palm trees that is Los Angeles isn't exactly a cheap place to visit. A normal vacation to the City of Angels will cost you a pretty penny. But if you want to visit the world's entertainment capital in luxury, it'll cost about a million more.

Fortune spoke with Jeanne Mills, the Chief Concierge of the iconic Beverly Wilshire Hotel, to find out how she'd spend $10,000 in L.A. in one day. It's really not as difficult as one might think, especially if you're a soap opera fan.

As she shares in the interview, she once helped a hubby whose wife was a fan of One Life to Live have a one-of-a-kind experience daytime fans would drool over. "We rented a house in Malibu and flew them there by helicopter," Mills recalls. "We had several of the cast there waiting for her. She spent the afternoon tasting wine and mixing and mingling with her favorite soap stars."

How else would you spend $10,000 in Los Angeles? That pretty much sums up our day, but Mills has plenty of other suggestions, which she shares in the article. Check that out here, and be sure to let us know how you would spend $10,000 in Los Angeles in one day.
