Kamar de los Reyes to star in Firehouse

Beginning February 4, Kamar de los Reyes, OLTL's ex-Antonio Vega, will star in the new play, Firehouse, written by the award-winning playwright Pedro Antonio Garcia.

Based on a true story, Firehouse explores the moral choices of firefighters, when honor and loyalty clash with "doing the right thing" in a South Bronx firehouse. When a rookie firefighter chooses to save a fellow firefighter, instead of a 12-year-old girl, who dies as a result, the community becomes outraged. Race, the code of honor, and love all play a part in this intense drama.

Kamar de los Reyes, who was chosen by People magazine as one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" in 1997, first originated the role of Antonio Vega on One Life to Live in July 1995, as the elder son of Dorian's maid, Carlotta. Antonio left Llanview in August 1997 but returned again in February 2000. The actor remained with OLTL for the next nine years, before exiting in March 2009. de los Reyes did return for a two-day stint in April 2009, to say goodbye to his police partner and love, Talia Sahid, who had been murdered by the Llanview Stalker.

Firehouse, will run from Friday, February 4, through Friday, April 29, 2011, at the Whitefire Theater in Sherman Oaks, California, on Fridays only. Tickets are $25 at the door and $22 in advance, with group discount tickets priced at $15.
