At Ravenwood, Cassie tries to convince Olivia to tell Phillip the truth about Emma. Cassie implies that Olivia is only after the Spaulding fortune and as long as she keeps her daughter a secret, she is playing into the rumors. Olivia doesn't care as long as Lizzie stays away from her baby. Cassie threatens to tell Phillip the truth, but Olivia counter threats - if Cassie tells, she and Emma will leave and with the Spaulding resources, they'll never be found. She wants Phillip to keep believing that he owes her. Cassie finally sees Olivia's been using her in order to fulfill her plan to gain control over the Spauldings. Cassie doesn't believe that Lizzie is the reason Emma is still a secret. Cassie has now seen what losing his daughter has done to Phillip. Olivia realizes she has no other choice than to bring Emma to Ravenwood to meet her father. But she has to take care of something first.

Olivia meets a man at the Beacon who hands her a file. She is anxious to get to work.

Cassie promises Phillip he's going to get better. Phillip envies Cassie's ability to heal after losing her child and Richard. He admits that although he is still living, he's not sure why he should be. Cassie says it was love that helped her through. She hopes he will have love to help him too.

At the museum, Marah tells Marina and Michelle that she isn't going to the fairgrounds. She fears Carrie is up to something. Michelle feels that a memorial for Maryanne is the best way to end things. It will bring everyone peace. Marina agrees, feeling Michelle's enthusiasm. Marah gives in.

At the fairgrounds, spotlights illuminate Buzz, Billy and Josh. Buzz nearly draws his gun when Alan and Ed arrive. He checks to make sure it's loaded when the others enter the fun house. They feel vulnerable as they spot Carrie in the house of mirrors. Carrie keeps her distance - she saw Buzz at the shooting range that day and knows she is in danger. Buzz shows them the gun, proud that he came prepared. Josh is disgusted, promising Buzz isn't going to use it. Carrie wants "a life for a life" and insists one of the girls must die to balance the scales. Josh becomes enraged, kicking and cracking one of the mirrors, begging her to kill him instead. But Carrie wants the pleasure of seeing him suffer. She demands they choose which girl will die. Alan threatens that it may be Carrie who dies tonight. She suggests she may already have the girls even though they told her they want nothing to do with her.

The girls explore the fairgrounds, feeling the effects of the Antimonium in their rings. They follow the music coming from the fun house. Josh thinks he hears Marah's voice. The guys realize all three girls must be there. Buzz pulls his gun as they split up to look for them. Josh sees Marah in the mirror and Carrie in the distance pointing a gun. Billy, Buzz and Josh yell for her to get down on the floor. She does.

Sandy scans family photos at the Lewis house. He reads the inscription on a hand-made ashtray and realizes Reva wasn't there much for Shayne's childhood either. Reva enters with a box of junk and asks Sandy to help her start sort through the remnants of her family's past. Sandy agrees on the condition that Reva make him cookies. He finds a carousel music box and says he always wanted one. The music makes Reva zone out, but when Sandy asks if she's having a psychic vision, she says it's nothing - the music gives her the creeps. Reva notes this is the second time she's had a feeling when Sandy's been around. Maybe they really do have a connection. After Sandy leaves, Reva sees a vision of Carrie in the house of mirrors while going through an old jewelry box.

Gus asks Phillip about the missing shipments of Antimonious. Olivia isn't pleased to find Gus in Phillip's room. Gus insists he'll see his brother whenever he wants. Later, Olivia asks Phillip to signs an addendum to his will. He's hesitant, but the mention of children persuades Phillip to sign. Cassie can see that Olivia obviously did a number on Gus tonight but she thinks he should just let it go. Reva sketches the scarab ring. Cassie asks her why she cares about the ring so much and Reva has no idea. An uneasy Reva drops the sketch. Gun in hand, Carrie stalks the girls through the dizzying maze of mirrors. The men look for an exit. An infuriated Buzz aims his gun, but he's never able to get a bead on Carrie's location. Alan finds the source of the blaring music and cuts it off. A disoriented Marah falls behind as Josh and Billy look for a way out. Carrie watches Ed, Michelle and Marina. Seeing a clear shot, she aims her gun. Spotting Carrie, Ed forces Michelle to the ground as a shot rings out. The lighting suddenly changes, flickering like a disco ball, and Marah becomes separated from Josh. Ed, Michelle and Marina find an exit and Ed locks the girls out. The men move off in different directions in search of Josh and Marah. Josh sees Carrie and prepares to make his move. The fresh air has a clarifying effect on the girls. Carrie shoots Buzz. Josh rushes her before she can finish him off, and her gun flies across the floor. She grabs it in the struggle, but before she can use it, Marah shoots Carrie with Buzz's gun.

Danny blames Lizzie for putting Nico in the hospital. He accuses Lizzie of using and selling "D." She vehemently denies it and tells Danny about Blade. Nico is angry with Danny for using his name in a lie. He was trying to protect Lizzie from the wrath of her family and Danny should just drop it. But Danny has no intention of dropping anything. Lizzie is grateful to Nico for looking out for her. If Danny is able to rid Springfield of "D," he hopes it will neutralize Ross's advantage in the campaign. He won't listen to Tony, who warns of the fallout. After hearing shots, Michelle and Marina are determined to get back inside the funhouse. Carrie goes limp, falls through the trap door to the river below. Marah doesn't realize what just happened. Wanting more than ever to protect his daughter, Josh says he killed Carrie. The men all want to back up Josh's story. As the effects of the drugs wear off, Michelle and Marina pound on the door. Josh asks Ed to take the girls home. Ed tells the girls that the danger has passed as he leads them away. Although grateful for Alan's offer to stick up for him, Josh wants him to go home; his being here will only make the situation look suspicious. Jeffrey asks Reva if she had any impressions when she met Carrie. Reva can't explain her feelings about Carrie's ring. Reva has a vision of Maryanne, but doesn't let on to Jeffrey about seeing her. Later, Reva finds a picture of young Maryanne in Jeffrey's briefcase. Jeffrey leaves it with her to see if Reva gets any feelings about it. A frustrated Reva asks Maryanne how she can help her. Meanwhile, Josh calls the police to report Carrie's death.

 Thursday,  FEBRUARY 26, 2004

Josh, Billy and Buzz agree to protect Marah, and tell the police that Josh shot Carrie in self-defense. Josh wants the others to stick to the story, and exclude Alan's and the girls' parts in the evening. Back home, Gus and Harley begin to work Alan, trying to get information on Antimonious. Alan angrily declares that he wishes he had never even heard of the drug. Ed insists the girls not ask questions and follow his story. Buzz and Billy relay their story to Frank when Frank realizes Buzz was shot. Harley gets a call from Frank, who fills her in on what happened. Gus is perplexed as to why Alan wants to know if it was self-defense. He is further suspicious when Alan refers to the stalker as a female. Ed tries to get Marah to snap out of her daze. Jeffrey questions Josh and Billy, who explain that the woman had been stalking Josh for some time. Jeffrey tries to hide his shock when he hears the woman was Caroline Caruthers. Josh tells Jeffrey that Carrie was deranged. He says if Buzz hadn't had his gun, Josh would be the one who was dead. Jeffrey asks Josh to reenact the shooting and he does. Ed worries when Marah says she knows Josh didn't shoot Carrie. The girls clue in that Ed is giving them a cover story. A cop gives Frank the plate number of the car seen leaving the fairgrounds. Harley thinks Buzz should be at the hospital but he refuses and starts to break down. Gus confronts Alan, who acts surprised to hear the shooting took place at the fairgrounds. He claims that that he was there scouting the property. Marah opens the door to Jeffrey. Meanwhile, Frank cuffs Josh and reads him his rights.

Friday,  FEBRUARY 27, 2004

Frank brings Josh in to the police station for processing. He gives Josh the opportunity to add to his statement, but Josh says he had nothing to add, he shot her; he had no choice. While Josh is being fingerprinted, Frank tells him that him coming forth voluntarily will look good in the eyes of a judge, if it even goes to trial. But Josh states he wants to pay his dues. Ross arrives and asks for a moment with his client. In the interrogation room, he blasts Josh for talking to the police without counsel present and tells him they'll be handling his defense his way. Josh tells Ross that he wants to plead guilty and accept the punishment. Ross tries to tell Josh that his going to jail won't do his family any good; his crime is defensible. However Josh insists. As Ross asks why Josh is railroading himself, Reva rushes in. She tells him that Billy told her about the shooting and asks him what happened. He tells her the fabricated story about Carrie being a stalker and him having to shoot her in self defense. Reva wants to go tell Marah and Shayne and is shocked to learn that Ed is doing that. She asks to speak to Josh alone. Alone, she tells him to tell him the truth about what happened tonight. She tells him to trust her. She doesn't care what story he's giving everyone else, she wants the truth. Josh simply tells her it's over, he's trying to do the right thing. He asks her to not leave Marah alone now. Josh tells her whatever happens, she must take care of herself and the kids. But Reva isn't accepting defeat and says she's going to do whatever she has to to bring him home.

Jeffrey comes to the Museum and tells Ed that he wants to see Marah. Ed objects at first but relents when Michelle tells him it'll be okay. Marah is still dazed and confused and tells him to help her father. She says she knows he didn't kill anyone. When he asks her what she means, she says that her father is not that kind of person. Marina and Michelle back her up by saying it was self-defense and Jeffrey asks how they'd know that unless they were there. Ed speaks up and says that he was there and he told them what happened. Jeffrey asks to speak with Marah alone. Ed sends the other two girls home.

Buzz is getting ready to close up Company when Alexandra rushes in. She's livid that he never called her after being shot and when she went to the ER, he wasn't there. She's upset that she almost lost him, but Buzz says she's stuck with him and kisses her. Alex tells Buzz to let her take care of him, and asks him to sit down and talk to her. She tells him that she knows whatever happened tonight, he did the right thing. She tells him that he's always been there for her when she's messed up and now it's her turn. Marina then comes in and tells Alex how her grandfather heroically tried to help Josh with he deranged stalker and took a bullet for him. When Alex goes to fix Buzz something to eat (an omelette, the only thing she knows how to cook), Marina confides in Buzz that she's had two heroes in her life--her dad and him. While she knows she can never be as good as her father, she thinks she could be like Buzz, who she says never stops trying to make things right no matter how bad things get. Buzz tells her she's more like her dad than she thinks. Marina starts to apologize and blame herself for the night's events, but Buzz assures her that Carrie would have tracked then down even without the girls' help. He tells her that he doesn't blame her for anything. An upset Shayne comes in having just gotten a message from Billy about the shooting. Marina tries to comfort him and says she wishes she could do something and he says she can do something--she can tell him how all this happened. Marina tells Shayne that his dad is safe, her dad will make sure he's treated fairly. Shayne tells Marah he wants to help Josh and comes up with an idea to investigate the stalker/gunshot victim, Carrie Caruthers. He wants to look into her past to see if he could find anything in her history that could clear his father. Marina tries to dissuade him and tells him he can help by simply taking care of his mother and Marah.

Michelle goes home and flashes back to her and Marina hearing gunshots and Ed telling them to keep their secret. Just then Danny enters and Michelle gives him Ed's story on the shooting. Although he starts to reassure Michelle that everything will be fine, Danny starts questioning the evening's events. Mainly why Josh needed 4 witnesses to confront one woman. He then brings up seeing Alan in deep conversation with those same men at the Valentines Day ball and comments that it's an odd group. Michelle gets upset them and tells him to stop--not every accident is a hit; sometimes things just happen. Danny's confused as to why Michelle doesn't want to get to the truth about what happened and she says she's just thankful that it wasn't her father. Danny suggests that maybe all this was a wakeup call for Ed. Tonight he helped Josh and took care of Marah. Danny says maybe the Ed Bauer Michelle knows and loves is on his way back. Michelle says she wished she could believe that.

Alone with Marah, and alone with Marah, Jeffrey asks her if she's alright since she clearly looks spaced out. Marah asks how this could have happened and Jeffrey tries to comfort her by reassuring her that he'll help her dad. He becomes concerned about Marah's condition and asks if she's okay. Marah's still confused about the night's events and Jeffrey mentions that Josh shot Carrie with Buzz's gun. At the mention of the gun, Marah holds her arms out like she's holding a gun. Jeffrey is very concerned about Marah now and asks if she's sedated. She says no, and chokes that something awful happened tonight. He tells her that he'll take care of it, but Marah, on the verge of tears, says no one can, as she continues to pretend she has a gun. Suddenly, she blurts out "Oh, God!" and seems to be on the verge of confessing when Ed rushes in to stop the interview. With Ed's entrance, Marah loses her train of thought and can't remember what she was about to remember. Ed tries to blame Marah's condition on the sedatives he gave her, which makes Jeffrey suspicious since Marah said she didn't have any. He then tells Ed he's taking Marah to Cedars to be looked at by another doctor, since he doesn't trust Ed. As Ed and Marah leave, Jeffrey calls Frank as he remembers his first conversation with Carrie weeks earlier when she claimed her life could be in danger. Jeffrey tells Frank that they need to hold Josh overnight and they need to question all the men again.
