Justin Klosky (Joey Lupo) will be returning to Guiding Light next month. The return brings the actor back to the CBS soap for the first time in over a year.

During his hiatus from Guiding Light, Klosky found a way to keep himself busy - and it didn't involve acting. The actor appeared last month on the FOX reality competition, American Idol. Klosky auditioned for the show during its Denver tryouts, which were held last year. The audition finally aired on January 18th.

According to Klosky, he did not get the opportunity to advance to the next round of American Idol because of his work on Guiding Light. Having been on television, Klosky was deemed to have had an unfair advantage when it came to the voting process: with about 3 million viewers and fans, Klosky could have potentially dominated the fan-based voting simply because of his previous television exposure.

Klosky, meanwhile, will return to the fictional town of Springfield in mid-March.
