"Kristina" threatened Cameron with a knife, admitting she had killed Alcazar and vowing to "protect Alexis" at all costs. When Alexis came to, she was horrified to hear that her alter ego had committed murder. She panicked that her baby would be taken away and begged Cameron to keep quiet. He warned her that she must check her into intensive therapy right away before "Kristina" did any more damage. Giving Alexis a tender hug, he promised to wait and try to help Alexis address her illness before figuring out what to do about the crime.
Jax told Brenda in front of everyone that he couldn't marry her because he knew about her kissing Sonny. He waited all night and morning for her to tell him about it, but she didn't and he couldn't marry her if he didn't trust her. Brenda tried to convince him that it was a goodbye, that she had told Sonny to be as happy as she was with Jax, but Jax resisted her. Brenda admitted she would always love Sonny; Jax could not accept that. Humiliated, Brenda told Jax he should not have ended their engagement in such a public way, especially after her similar wedding with Sonny had led to her nervous breakdown. She said that because he did such a cruel thing, she no longer wanted to marry him either. Brenda walked out and returned to her suite as Skye looked on. Skye entered Brenda's suite while she was gathering her things and told her she deserved what had happened. Brenda told her that Jax needed someone he could trust, and that certainly wasn't Skye. Brenda left and a few moments later Jax arrived, annoyed to see Skye there. He guzzled champagne while Skye told him that Jax had outrageously high standards and even Brenda couldn't live up to them anymore.
At the club, Sonny told Jason that something must be wrong for Carly to run off like she did. While they tried to figure out where she went, Courtney walked about and blasted Sonny for kissing Brenda. Jason ordered the club closed and asked Courtney to leave so he could speak to Sonny alone. When Sonny admitted to kissing Brenda, Jason criticized him for hurting Carly after Jason had reassured her over the years as to how much Sonny loved her. Sonny insisted that he did love Carly, that he and Brenda were saying goodbye. He left to find her. Checking back at the penthouse he ran into Brenda, who was waiting for Jason. They shared their misfortunes that had occurred since their kiss. Sonny empathized but explained that Carly was everything to him, and that he had to go find her and let her know. Courtney went back to the club after Sonny had left and tried to reach Jason, but he continued to push her away despite her best efforts.
Meanwhile at Jake's, Faith's employee drugged Carly's drink. As the drug took effect he attempted to leave with her, but Rick showed up and made him leave. He took Carly to a hotel room where she passed out on the bed. Rick stroked her face and neck tenderly as she lay there.

Sonny held a broken bottle against Ned's neck and demanded to know where Carly was. He backed off when Faith pulled a gun on him, but not before telling them he would kill them both if they had anything to do with Carly's disappearance. Carly was astonished to wake up in beside Rick in bed. She asked Rick what happened, and he said that she had thrown herself at him and he couldn't resist her advances. Enraged, Carly told Rick he took advantage of her and threatened that Sonny would kill him when he found out. Rick tried to coerce Carly into not telling Sonny, but Carly vowed to do just that. She dressed and went to the waterfront, where she phoned Jason to come meet her. Back at the penthouse, Jason was with Sonny when he got the call. On Sonny's demands, Jason told Sonny where Carly was so he could meet her himself. When he arrived, he told Carly that he loved her and wanted to spend his life with her, not Brenda. Carly yelled at Sonny not to lie to her, that she had seen him and Brenda with her own eyes and knew he still cared for her.
Courtney defended Jason to Liz, who insisted that Jason was dangerous and capable of hurting Rick. Later, Faith went to the club and made indirect threats to Courtney, who asked her to leave. Liz went to Rick's room and caught him loading a gun.

When he arrived and saw her there, he expressed his condolences for her and Jax's failed wedding. Brenda asked him to help her get to Europe. Jax knocked at the door. Brenda motioned to Jason to let him in. After Jason left, Jax handed Brenda an envelope with a check for a million dollars and asked her not to come back to Port Charles.
On the Docks, Sonny pleads with Carly to believe that Carly IS the ONLY woman Sonny wants. Carly eventually accepts Sonny's version of events and they head back to the Penthouse together and hit the sheets. After Sonny goes to sleep, Carly flashes back to waking up with Ric in a motel room. When Sonny wakes up, the mob boss declares that he wants to take Carly down to the Speakeasy and enjoy Carly's fantastic new club.
At Kelly's, Liz demands to know WHY Ric is packing a loaded gun. Liz suggests that IF Ric is planning on some gun play developing between Ric and Sonny, that Ric would be wise to plan to leave town as soon as possible. But Ric hints that he has something important to do in Port Charles that he can NOT share with Liz. When Liz asks Ric if he is some kind of Federal agent, investigating the mobs in Port Charles, Ric replies: "Do you think that, IF I were a Federal agent, working undercover, that I would tell you?" When Liz tries to change the subject and begins to quiz Ric about his family, Ric again evades her questions. Ric tells Liz: "I am close to the end here. My trail is just a little blocked by a stone wall, surrounded by an electric fence and guarded by killer wolves...I have come too far to turn back now!"
In the Speakeasy, Faith warns Courtney that, eventually ALL mighty empires fall - and Sonny's Empire will also fall, just like all the others! Jason spots Courtney and Faith's intense discussion, and orders Faith to leave. Jason then warns Courtney that she needs to leave town for a while, but, when Courtney learns that Jason would NOT be going with her, she refuses to even consider leaving. As Jason warns Courtney that Faith might try to use Courtney to get to Sonny, Mike arrives and demands a few moments to speak to his daughter - alone! After Jason leaves, Mike tells Courtney that Mike realizes that Courtney has been seeing Jason. When Courtney insists that she loves Jason and can NOT bear to be separated from him, Mike tells Courtney that Courtney reminds Mike of Sonny's mother - Adela. Mike confides that all of Adela's family and friends warned Adela that Mike's first love was GAMBLING and Adela would ALWAYS come in second in Mike's priorities - but Adela insisted that love would be enough to carry them through the rough patches. Mike observes that, sadly, Adela's family WAS right and Mike's addiction to gambling ruined all of Adela's plans for happiness. Mike warns Courtney that Jason is addicted to Jason's job with Sonny and NOTHING would EVER be more important to Jason than the work that Jason does for Sonny! But Jason STILL stepped back and turned BOTH Michael AND Carly over to Sonny when Sonny wanted them! Mike warns Courtney that Courtney will NEVER come first in Jason's life!
At Jason's Penthouse, Brenda tells Jax that he can keep his million dollars, because Brenda would NEVER agree to stay away from Port Charles. Brenda accuses Jax of trying to make her feel like a prostitute. But Jax blasts Brenda for trying to make Jax feel guilty about Brenda's great love for Sonny. Brenda accuses Jax of seeing her as a prize he needed to win away from Sonny, rather than a real person that Jax actually loved! Jax retorts that he KNOWS that he would ALWAYS be Brenda's second choice AFTER Sonny and declares that Jax KNOWS that Jax deserves better than being a stand-in for Sonny! When Jason arrives, Brenda tells Jax to take his money and donate it to a battered women's shelter, so Jax could find a NEW damsel to rescue. After Jax leaves, Jason also offers Brenda a safe Swiss bank account, insisting that Sonny has NOTHING to do with that money. Jason insists it is ONLY a loan and Brenda agrees to use the account ONLY if she can pay Jason back. Then Brenda breaks down and cries on Jason's shoulder. Jason takes Brenda to the airport and waits with her for her flight. As Brenda complains that she ALWAYS has these really bad wedding days, Jason suggests that the NEXT time, Brenda should think about doing it the way Brenda and Jason did in Las Vegas - MINUS the WEDDING! When Jason leaves, he tells Brenda to call him if she needs anything. Brenda tells Jason that he needs to fight to be with Courtney if Courtney is truly the great love of Jason's life!
At Brenda's Cottage, as Skye and Coleman indulge in a steamy kiss, Skye pulls away and reminds Coleman that her objective is to be a damsel in distress to attract Jax's attention. When Skye and Coleman go to Kelly's later, just as Coleman observes that Skye is getting her life back in control BECAUSE of Coleman, Skye suddenly spots Jax approaching and begins to read the riot act to an astonished Coleman! Jax jumps to the conclusion that Coleman has been harassing Skye and Jax orders Coleman to stay away from Skye. Later, Jax and Skye walk on the Docks and Jax reports that Brenda is leaving Port Charles. Jax asks Skye about the woman that Skye saw in Alcazar's suite the night of the murder, but Skye evades the question by claiming that she is waiting for Felicia to get back to Skye about a new lead. When Skye asks Jax WHY he was at Kelly's, Jax admits that he had been trying to get in touch with Carly to see if Carly needed a business partner in case Carly really IS splitting with Sonny!
Later, Faith tracks Coleman down at Kelly's and tells Coleman that she wants revenge on Sonny right away and wants Coleman's help to get hold of Sonny's sister. Coleman asks Faith to tell him what the payoff would be for Coleman!
When Sonny and Carly arrive at The Speakeasy, Carly notices that Liz and Ric are already there. Carly tells Ric not to worry about it! When Sonny leaves to take a phone call, Ric observes that Sonny and Carly have apparently made up and Carly informs Ric that Carly plans to stay mum about their little tryst at the Motel. Carly ALSO warns Ric that, IF Sonny EVER found out that Ric and Carly spent the night together, Sonny would kill Ric. After Carly leaves, Ric promises: "No complications from my end, at all!"
When Jason returns to his Penthouse, he finds Courtney waiting for him. Courtney explains that she waited until AFTER Sonny and Carly left for the Club. Then Courtney tells Jason about Mike's theory that Jason is addicted to Jason's job for Sonny. However, Jason insists that he is ONLY worried that the fallout from Jason's work for Sonny would prove dangerous to Courtney. And Courtney once again refuses to listen to Jason's warnings!
On the Docks, Skye assures Jax that she has NO objection to getting involved in a plan to get even with Sonny and reminds Jax that they originally bonded over their mutual distrst of the Mob Boss. As Skye and Jax agree to go back to being good friends, Brenda sits alone at the airport and remembers the events of her most recent return to Port Charles. Brenda remains deep in thought, even when one of the airline employees informs Brenda that she will need to hurry if she wants to make it on board her plane on time.
Jax has a run-in with Sonny on the docks. Sonny calls him a loser for humiliating Brenda at the altar after already tossing his wife aside for her. Jax blames Sonny for his failure to marry Brenda and accuses him of kissing Brenda to keep some hold on her. Jax threatens to take him down. Sonny tells him to try it and see what happens. Meanwhile, Skye is asked to appear at Scott's office. Taggert doesn't like it that Scott is ordering him to place a small microphone inside her coat when she gets there while he distracts her since they didn't get permission for a wire-tap. Scott accuses her of killing Alcazar and that he doesn't believe she saw a dark haired woman leave his room. Skye insists she isn't lying and she will go out and find the evidence to prove it, unaware that there is wire in her coat. She finds Jax on the pier and tells him that she saw Alexis leave Alcazar's room and that she isn't lying to him. Scott and Taggert have technical problems and don't hear that conversation. Jax tells her not to tell anyone, especially the cops what she saw until he gets back to her. Jax heads over to see Alexis at her place. Alexis had gone to GH to find out about her daughter's welfare from the nurse. Cameron tells her that he didn't tell her she couldn't see her baby but that she couldn't bring her home right now. Alexis worries about what would happen if she turned into her other personality while with the baby. Cameron tells her he will stay with her while she sees the baby. Alexis is home when Jax gets there. He tells her that the police are probably going to arrest Skye sometime this week and that they are already interrogating her without a lawyer. Alexis tells him she will probably be able to stall the police until at least the summer. Jax tells her that Skye remembers seeing her at Alcazar's room after he was murdered and that she thinks she did it. Alexis turns into the other personality when he tells her this. Jax notices the change and wonders what is going on with her. The doorbell rings and she answers it. It is Cameron, who she throws out of her place as well as Jax. Jax asks Cameron for an explanation to why Alexis is acting so strangely and referring to herself in the 3rd person. Cameron tells him that Alexis is suffering from a split personality. Jax doesn't believe him until he explains what happened. Jax realizes that Alexis killed Alcazar without knowing it since she was the other personality at the time. Jax tells him he needs to try to stall things until they can help her out of this. Cameron agrees to do what he can. Jax finds Skye waiting on the pier for him all this time. She asks him what he found out and worries that she will be charged with murder if he doesn't do something. By this time, Scott and Taggert fix the technical problem with the mike and overhear Jax tell Skye that the cops can't find out that Alexis killed Alcazar right now. Scott and Taggert are shocked by the revelation. Meanwhile, Cameron manages to get into Alexis' apartment while she is in the other personality. He promises he and Jax will protect Alexis and make sure no harm comes to her. Kristina/Alexis warns him that if this is a trick and any harm comes to Alexis, he will never see Alexis again.

After Sonny leaves, Rick suggests to Carly that she somehow persuade Sonny to accept his offer to work for him or maybe he will have to tell him about their night together. Carly tells him that if Sonny finds out about their night together, Rick will be a dead man and won't be able to run from him. Later, Sonny comes by the club again while Rick isn't there. Carly tells Sonny that he should give Rick a chance and hire him as his lawyer since Rick has done good things for them.

Meanwhile, Summer meets Luke at his club before they go on their date. Summer tells him she can't keep playing the fantasy for him anymore and that she needs to have her own private life. Luke tells her that he would like to be her friend and hang out together and tells her to be in a relationship if she wants to with the other guy. Luke puts on some music and they dance. Sonny asks Carly why she is trying so hard to convince to hire Rick as his new attorney. Carly explains that Rick has been good to her as a friend and has helped her with her new club so much that she thinks he would be good for Sonny. Sonny asks her where Rick is so he can talk to him alone. Carly thinks Sonny is seriously going to consider hiring Rick as his lawyer. However, when Rick comes out to see Sonny, Sonny asks him what he has on his wife to get her to try so hard to persuade him to hire him. Rick tells him that he has nothing on her and that maybe Carly just wants what is best for him for an attorney. Sonny tells him he has no interest in hiring him as his attorney and that he doesn't care if Carly wants to do business with him as long as it is separate from his organization. While Rick and Carly discuss business, Sonny orders one of his men to do a more thorough and complete background check on Rick and explains why he is allowing Carly to do business with him. Meanwhile, Carly asks Rick to admit he is really blackmailing her into getting a door into Sonny's business. Rick denies he is blackmailing her and that keeping their secret is beneficial to both of them. Carly advises him to leave it alone and not try to push it with Sonny and that if Sonny finds out about their night together, Rick will be a dead man. Rick tells her to just keep things quiet and just not over-dramatize things which is how she got into this little mess with him to begin with. Later, Carly almost tells Sonny the truth about that night she spent with Rick that she doesn't really remember much of. Sonny's cell-phone interrupts them. Courtney finishes her shift at Kelly's. As she is zipping her coat up outside of Kelly's, two thugs kidnap her and send her to a cabin in the woods and blindfold and tie her up. He comes back to inform her that the tracks lead away from the cabin toward the highway and that his tires were slashed and they can't get out of the woods right now. Jason and Courtney realize they have been set up to look like they planned this rendevous to be together. Sonny is also notified by Coleman, in a disguised voice that they are at a cabin together. Scott tries to convince Taggert that Alexis killed Alcazar like Jax said on the microphone in Skye's coat. Taggert doesn't believe that Skye is a credible witness since she has a drinking problem and already lied about seeing Brenda kill Alcazar. Scott tells him that Jax wouldn't have said it was Alexis unless he was positive she did it and is trying to protect her like he is doing with Skye. Scott tells him that they need to get Alexis to confess to them that she did and they will have their killer. Meanwhile, Cameron deals with Alexis while she is acting like "Kristina." She tells him that it is her job to protect Alexis and that if he tries any tricks and tries to contain her, Alexis will never see the light of day. Cameron tries to appeal to her sense of doing what is right for Alexis by explaining that if she keeps Alexis out of things, she could lose her baby and be diagnosed as insane and then Ned could get her baby and raise it with the Quartermaines as family. Kristina thinks about this. She transforms back into Alexis. Alexis asks him how long she was gone again. Cameron tells her too long. Alexis tells him she is scared since she can't control when it happens. Cameron vows to help her through this. He goes to G.H. and has one of the psychiatrists get him a form to fill out to have Alexis committed. Taggert happens to overhear him while he is looking at logs of when people signed in and out of neonatal intensive care to find out if Alexis signed out around the time of the murder. Taggert asks Cameron about his committing Alexis into the psychiatric ward. Cameron refuses to tell him under patient/doctor confidentiality. Taggert informs him that Alexis is now their number one suspect in Alcazar's murder. Scott shows up to see Alexis at her place just as she is leaving to go see her daughter. He tells her that he is going to arrest Skye for the murder of Alcazar and that he came to tell her that he is going to make the charges stick this time. Alexis doesn't respond the way he wants so he mentions that she was at the hotel that night and witnessed the body of Alcazar laying on top of the car under where his balcony was. He also mentions that she was wearing dark clothing and that Skye remembers seeing a dark-haired woman in a dark coat leave Alcazar's room in a hurry. Alexis transforms into "Kristina" again and starts to get into Scott's face. Scott tells her bag of tricks won't work this time and turns his back on her. She takes the letter opener on her desk and points it near Scott's back and warns him that she killed Alcazar because he killed her and threatened Alexis and she will do it again to protect her now. Scott realizes Alexis is crazy and not herself as she points the knife toward him in a threatening manner.
