Contract talks between the actor and the ABC soap have reportedly reached an impasse, leaving fans concerned that deVry might be the next popular performer to exit Port Charles. Aware of the buzz surrounding his situation, the actor took to Twitter to do his best to calm the storm (or fan the flames, depending on how one views it).
“Guys, I just can't comment now. Thanks for the love. Always the love,” he tweeted shortly after news about his questionable status began.
Guy's. I just can't comment now. Thanks for the love. Always the love. I heard #Julexis was on the other day?— William deVry (@WilliamdeVry1) July 18, 2017
He later took to the popular social media site with another status update very similar to the first. “Can't comment -- oven is still hot,” he tweeted.

Buzz about deVry's status with GH started way back in January, when the actor admitted that he wasn't sure what would happen when his contract came to an end this summer. When it came to whether or not he planned to sign a new contract, he said at the time: "You have to cross that bridge as the world unfolds before you -- that's all you can do in daytime."
deVry joined GH in 2013, replacing former portrayer Jason Culp, who played the role from 1988 to 1990.
