Another General Hospital fave is headed back to Port Charles. Tristan Rogers will reprise the role of Robert Scorpio beginning in mid-November. Rogers first appeared on GH in 1980. Rogers has also appeared on The Young and the Restless.
) will be returning to General Hospital just in time for November Sweeps.
"I am feeling really good right now! My connection to GH and to this character is so strong. I think the fans will see a Robert who is the same, but also different ... and there's a reason for that difference," Rogers told Soap Opera Digest
. "I was very excited about the story when it was explained to me."
Rogers appeared as a contract player on GH from 1980 to 1992. He returned to the ABC soap for guest appearances in 1995, 2006, 2008, and 2011.
In 1997, the Australian-born actor briefly played Hunter on The Bold and the Beautiful. More recently, Rogers appeared intermittently on CBS's The Young and the Restless as Colin Atkinson

Y&R fans may also see Rogers in the future. In an interview with Soap Opera Uncensored, Rogers offered cryptic clues about the prospects of a Y&R comeback.
"Regards to Y&R? I have an enormous affection for the show and those I was lucky enough to work with. Something tells me I am not done there yet," Rogers teased.
Rogers first airs on November 15.
