Lane Davies will join former Santa Barbara co-star Nancy Lee Grahn on General Hospital for the second time.

As General Hospital's Alexis fights to get her law license back, she has to go back to the root of how she lost it -- her affair with Dr. Neil Byrne. Diane has been helping her search for Neil's brother for weeks, and this month, we will finally meet Fergus Byrne in the form of soap vet Lane Davies.

Davies and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) created magic together in the 1980s when he played Mason Capwell against Grahn's Julia Wainwright on the now-defunct NBC soap Santa Barbara.

Their on-screen banter and chemistry were legendary, so fans were thrilled when they teamed up again on GH in 2002, where Davies played Dr. Cameron Lewis for two years. In fact, Elizabeth's son Cameron was named for the doctor, as he was the father to Zander Smith, Cameron's dad.

While it's been awhile since Davies has been seen on daytime, he has an admirable soap résumé. He started his soap career as Evan Whyland on Days of our Lives and was long thought to be Sarah Horton's biological father until it was revealed that Neil Curtis' sperm had been used to make Sarah and not Evan's.

Davies also brought Ridge Forrester to life on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992 when he filled in for Ronn Moss. Davies' latest soap role was as Mackenzie Johnson on the digital series The Bay from 2010 to 2017.

According to TV Insider, Davies is set to make his latest GH debut the week of May 22. There's no word yet as to how long Fergus will stick around on General Hospital.
