The 41st Annual Creative Arts and Entertainment Daytime Emmy Awards honoring excellence in technical achievement were handed out on Friday, June 20. The Bold and the Beautiful took home the most soap-related wins.

The 41st Annual Creative Arts and Entertainment Daytime Emmy Awards were presented on Friday, June 20, at a gala held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

The Creative Arts portion of the Daytime Emmys honors excellence in mostly non-acting categories -- the behind-the-scenes technology that makes it possible for there to be episodes of the soaps: Outstanding Technical Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Make-up, Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design, and more. Awards are also handed out to non-soap programming, including categories likes Outstanding Writing in a Children's Series.

CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful picked up the most wins, taking home four golden statuettes. It was, however, the short-lived web-based soaps, All My Children and One Life to Live, that made the biggest splash.

All My Children had just four nominations and picked up three wins, including high-profile Music Direction and Original Song. One Life to Live cashed in on two of its four nominations. Together, the two TOLN.com soaps won 63% of the awards for which they were nominated.

The Young and the Restless, the most-nominated in the Creative Arts section of the ballot and the most-nominated soap overall, took home three awards. ABC's sole soap, General Hospital, won two awards.

Despite having eight nominations in the Creative Arts categories, Days of our Lives did not pick up a single win.

The Daytime Emmy Awards are presented to daytime television programs that are broadcast nationally between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. The eligibility period for this year's Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards was January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2013.

This year, all six eligible soaps were nominated for Emmys in the various technical categories. In October 2013, NATAS changed the eligibility requirements for the drama series categories, thereby allowing All My Children and One Life to Live to compete in all soap categories.
