OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
I really think this year The Young and the Restless will win. Every episode I watched was great. I see why this show is always #1 in the ratings. However, if any show should beat Y&R it'll be the always great As the World Turns.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR
Grant Aleksander. Four of these 6 actors have Emmys; Grant & Thorsten don't. Thorsten doesn't stand a chance. Grant is long overdue. He had a great year as Phillip Spaulding on GL. If anyone should beat him it'll be Maurice Benard.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS
Nancy Lee Grahn. What a year she had! She killed Luis Alcazar and was Dobson. One major drama episode and one major comedy episode...She will win. But if she should lose it'll be to the very deserving Tamara Braun.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR
Ric Hearst. All of these nominees had great years, but Ric's was so amazing. I wouldn't mind seeing Christian win, but Ric has this in the bag.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Very tough category. All of these women have a chance of winning. As much as I want to say Kathy Brier, I'm going to say Cady McClain.
OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTOR
Also a tough category. I think Scott Clifton will win because he's such a great, convincing actor.
OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTRESS
Eden Riegel. If a mistake should be made and Eden doesn't win, I feel sorry for the actress that does. She will probably be booed off the stage. That is how much Eden deserves to win. However, Alicia had a great year, too.
OUTSTANDING WRITING IN A DRAMA SERIES
All My Children. Bianca was raped, shared a kiss with Lena, and decided to keep her baby. Maria lost her memory and found it. Fusion was created. Greenlee learned Jack was her father. Tad THE CAD returned. Ryan returned. Any reason for this show NOT to win???
