MARY MOSHOLDER

Mary is a regular viewer of As the World Turns (since 1993) and Guiding Light.(since 1988). She began watching soaps in grade school in early 80's when she watched the final months of Search for Tomorrow and then went on to watch The Young and the Restless. She has at some point been a regular viewer of all the soaps currently on the air with the exception of Passions. However ATWT and GL are the only soaps she's followed for an extended amount of time. Though she is mostly familiar with her own shows, she's tried to be objective and made her predictions based on who she felt had the edge over the fellow nominees. (it just so happened that most happened to be with her shows)

Mary was the "big winner" in last year's SOC Emmy picking contest.

OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES

Port Charles. Since the show's unique format got them a nomination, I think they'll get a win.

OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR

Doug Davidson. I'm surprised at the nominees these year. The normal contenders weren't on the list. Anyway, my heart wants to go with one of the GL guys, but I have a hunch about Davison--he had a very good story last year.

OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS

Eileen Davidson. I was going to go with Flannery but then found out the story Davidson had last year. She was involved in a realistic, public awareness story and I think the Academy will respond to that.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR

Ron Raines. The second person I changed in the middle of writing this column, I was going to go with Hendrickson, but then learned the scene Raines submitted. It was a very emotional scene and I think he'll get rewarded for his work there.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Robin Christopher. I was torn between Christopher and Dano both of whom I remember from AW.. Dano might be more of a favorite, but I'm going to go with Christopher, who I've heard has had some great stuff on GH.

OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTOR
Jordi Vilasuso. I'll try this again (I picked him last year too). I know he's not a favorite, but I know he did some excellent work last year. Plus, I know nothing of the others.

OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTRESS
Amber Frantz. Again thanks to CBS.com I changed my answer! I found out what scenes she submitted and it seemed like very powerful stuff.

OUTSTANDING WRITING IN A DRAMA SERIES
Guiding Light. So many choices. I'll go with Guiding Light since I liked a lot of what they did last year and the writing seemed very good.
