Karin worked as a nurse at Salem U Hospital and frequently found herself caught up in hospital gossip. Theresa befriended Karin for the sole purpose of letting Karin see Theresa with some of Daniel's things, in order to perpetuate the gossip that Theresa and Daniel were sleeping together. When Karin learned that she'd been used, she apologized to Jennifer for participating in the gossip.
