Hot on the heels of the news that Days of our Lives alum Peter Reckell (ex-Bo Brady) had joined the off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks for a limited run scheduled to happen this September comes news that after he departs, The Bold and the Beautiful's Lorenzo Lamas (ex-Hector Ramirez) will be taking over.
Lamas, who's also known for roles on Falcon Crest and Renegade, will take over the role of El Gallo starting October 24 at The Theater Center, a theater complex in the heart of Times Square, The Washington Post reports.
Reckell, on the other hand, will play the role of the charismatic narrator from September 5 to September 25.
Funny enough, this is neither Lamas nor Reckell's first experience with The Fantasticks. Lamas created a cabaret act and played El Gallo in a production of the show in Fort Worth, Texas. Meanwhile, as fans may recall, Reckell played The Mute during the show's original run 35 years ago.
