href="/days/news/2016/0606-ratings.php">plummet to all-time low ratings for the last week of May, but former star Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) has shared some pretty scathing opinions about her old stomping grounds.
In the latest issue of TV Guide magazine, the actress -- who has remained busy with Hallmark movies, a writing career, and directing General Hospital episodes since departing Salem last year -- reflects on the lazy attitude of modern performers. "A lot of actors feel entitled. They just assume the phone is going to ring," she says. "As I was easing out of DAYS, I was shocked at how the young ones would show up not having bothered to memorize their lines. I never expected to be the kind of person to say that, but it's true."
Speaking of the series' younger actors, there's a rumor that the canvas will be shaken up by the return of Sami's deceased son, Will (most recently played by Guy Wilson). And if it proves to be true, Sweeney says she'd be open to a Salem return, despite the fact that she's still furious over some of the writers' storyline decisions. "I would certainly consider [coming back]," she reveals. "I thought it was a huge mistake to kill Will, especially for the show's 50th anniversary. It still makes me angry when I think about it."
How happy would you be if both Sami's son, Will, and Sweeney returned to Salem? Which young DAYS stars do you think were showing up to work unprepared? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
