The actress confirmed to soapcentral.com that she'll be back on set at the NBC soap in mid-May to start filming a storyline that will most likely begin airing in late fall. "They called and asked if I was available, and I fortunately was," she says. "It's going to fun. I don't know what I'm doing, I just know Nancy is back!"
As for how long fans might get to see Chloe's (Nadia Bjorlin) mom on the canvas, Darbo surmises it'll be a quick trip. "To be honest, it's a short return as far as I know at this moment, but things change!" she exclaims, adding that it was nice to be asked back after not being a part of the show's 50th anniversary celebration. "Stories have to work, and sometimes you can bring us in, and sometimes you can't. I like that I'm going back at this point, so we'll see what happens."
Fans may remember that last year, Patrika told soapcentral.com that she had been hurt not to have been asked back for the show's 50th anniversary.
The last time Nancy was in Salem was back in 2013, when Chloe enlisted her mom's help to break up Daniel (Shawn Christian) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) so she and the doctor could be together and raise their son, Parker.
