Daytime fans across the board were shocked when news broke that Days of our Lives had decided to cut popular star Greg Vaughan (ex-Eric Brady; ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital) from the cast, but no one was more shocked than the actor himself.
"You never think you're going to be the person to get the call," he shared with Soap Opera Digest of being let go last year. "It was kind of like going back to when I was at GH and got that call that I was let go and Jonathan [Jackson] was coming on [to reclaim the role of Lucky]. That's why I never emotionally get comfortable anywhere anymore, so it was easier to kind of accept."
Thankfully, not long after his DAYS gig ended, he landed a series role on OWN's upcoming drama Queen Sugar (which you can read more about here -- as well as here to find out which DAYS co-star will also be appearing). "It's just going from one high to another high extremely quickly," he says of the good fortune. "I've been living this dream for 22 years, through the highs and the lows, and I'm still going strong; I keep moving forward."
