DAYS alum True O'Brien lands gig opposite Greg Vaughan

Days of our Lives' True O'Brien (ex-Paige Larson) has booked a guest-starring role on OWN's new drama Queen Sugar, which stars Greg Vaughan (ex-Eric Brady) as a series regular.

Emmy-nominated actress True O'Brien (ex-Paige Larson) has a lot to celebrate these days. Not only is she in the running to win a Daytime Emmy award, but she just announced that she landed a role on OWN's new series Queen Sugar.

The actress tweeted, "So stoked to be a part of this project!!!" that also stars DAYS alum Greg Vaughan (ex-Eric Brady; ex-Lucky Spencer, General Hospital) as series regular character Calvin.

Queen Sugar is a contemporary series adapted from the first novel by Natalie Baszile. It chronicles the lives and loves of the estranged Bordelon siblings -- Nova (Rutina Wesley), Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner), and Ralph Angel (Kofi Siriboe) -- who come together after a family tragedy to run an ailing sugar cane farm in the Deep South. Oprah Winfrey is scheduled to make a guest appearances when it debuts later this year.

O'Brien stepped into the role of Eve's (Kassie DePaiva) innocent daughter in March 2014 and left the NBC soap in September 2015, when Paige was murdered by the Necktie Killer.
